Inter Racial Marriage

In India we have inter caste marriage as well, nowadays. Like, I have done it. What I feel sometimes I feel to be misfit in the social surrounding of my wife's parental home. Like they are lower in the caste system in India than mine, I didnot find any problem to get to her and neither she felt any difficulties to marry me, but there are certain remarks which the lower caste people often use to humiliate the upper caste people in India and sometimes they use such words in front of me as they are habituated to it and certainly not to humiliate me, but they pass such comments and which put me into embarrassment.

I don't think its a good idea and i don't support.I don't say it's bad but it's better to marry someone of the same race.

it's okay but for me..i don't know i prefer to be with Phil people too..it's because i understand our culture..the advantage of it is that you'll be able to have a child who is different maybe and is unique, you'll get to explore other's culture and accept it as well..the disadvantage of that though is that the partners might not be able to adapt to each other's culture and there might be misunderstandings...

I have no problems with inter-racial marriage. In fact, I think it's great. It's one way of promoting racial harmony on top of having really cute mixed babies. My ex-neighbours (a Chinese Singaporean) married a Sikh and they've got a really pretty baby girl. I don't deny that there will be teething problems especially in trying to understand and assimilate into each other's culture but that shouldn't be a reason for not marrying someone. Love should be the factor for any marriage....not race.

I am in an Asian married to a Hispanic-American. We have a lot of differences which could be attributed to cultural or just personal factors. It is not easy but like any other marriage, there should be love and respect between the couple or the union won't last very long. The wonderful side to an interracial marriage is that you learn a lot about another culture. You get to try new food, new customs, a new language, and so on. We also have a beautiful son who has facial features that is a mixture of both races.
