I just thought I'd comment on the fact that these days, kids don't have to wait for the rain to go away, if they have their computers to play on! Of course nothing beats playing in the open air! But these days, they have options!

trinhd, yes it is true there are a lot of options already beside playing outside.... but i would like to remind you too, that not all kids has computers or hi-tech gadgets to play wioth. there are still children around the world who has nothing of those.

Apart from the ones posted at discussion # 232625 and 180195, here's what I can add...(and it's really not a matter of remembering for me...I have small nieces and nephews...otherwise I wouldn't remember any! Oh...and we also had a baby shower recently where I got reminded of some more because we used them in a game!)
Bye baby bunting, daddy's gone a hunting...
Tickly, tickly on your knee...
Jack sprat could eat no fat...
Little Jack Horner sat in a corner...
My bunny lies over the ocean... (a rhyme and a song!)
Jack be nimble Jack be quick...
It's raining it's pouring....
Hey diddle, diddle the cat and the fiddle...
Row, row, row your boat...
Ok I think I've done my part! :)

This one I say to my little baby brother while touching his toes.
This little pig went to the market.
This little pig stayed home.
This little pig had roast beef.
This little pig had none.
And this little pig cried,
"Wee, wee, wee! I can't find my way home!"

My mother in law bought our daughter a book of nursery rhymes recently and it is amazing how they come back to you! We have a good old laugh when my partner decides to make up new words for them all, it can become quite amusing!

Allah made it but a message of hope, and an assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah. and Allah is exalted in power, wise. [booty10
