it seems where i live (the uk) summertime is knocking on the door and getting ready to kick out the cold winter weather! which is a good thing for everyone!
during summertime it is scientifically proven that everyone is much much more happier and relaxed!
and during the winter it is proven that the cold and dark weather causes depression in alot of people! and it is actually medically recognised as a condition! (S.A.D - Seasonal Affective Disorder)
Do you know you have S.A.D?? does it make the winter months hard??
Do you think you have S.A.D?? Does Everyone Have Some Degree of S.A.D??
Or do you LOVE THE WINTER!?! and HATE THE SUMMER?!?
do you think you are alot happier in the summer??
i wouldnt go as far to say that the winter makes me "depressed" but i am 100% sure that i find the summertime much more happier!!

I don't think I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder. But I do enjoy winter over all others seasons. And I just hate spring. All those pollens in the air make me sick.

It is getting to be more well know that this is really an illness.. Ther are suppose to be like millions that actually suffer from S.A.D... I know my husband & mother do.. They get very depressed during the winter months when it gloomy.. It doesn't bother me.. I think of it as a time that the earth is replenishing itself.. But alot of people around me do suffer.. They don't get dressed, don't go outside, just sit in there darkened house and feel depressed.. Its scary sometimes to watch my husband.. I open the door even though it lets cold in to get as much lite as possible.. I turn on the lamps if need be.. I've bought halogen bulbs that are economy savers and put off a better ray.. I do everything I can think off and any more that I hear of to help.. Then the next morning there he is again sitting in the gloom waiting for me to wake up and make his day better.. Any thing for my honey.. He's worth the effort.. My mom I call on a regular basis to help her and I think it works cause I'm sure her voice sounds a little bit happier after my calls... Tammy

I feel much more energized when the sun is shining, I know that. I do not do too bad with winter until January and February come along. I think what helped me a lot this year was myLot, and the constant exposure to the light of the monitor. They say it will even affect your sleep patterns. I do okay with summer until late July, when temps exceed 95 and do not cool much at night either. I would not say I have SAD, but I am somewhat seasonally challenged. I find that consistant exercise helps, year around.

I do suffer from S.A.D. A couple years ago a lady spoke to our women's group on the subject which I had never heard of before then but looking back know I've probably always suffered from.
It's not that I love summer or hate winter (spring is my favorite time of year) but in Michigan the months of being stuck inside, lack of fresh air and excersice, really adds to the problem. As it gets closer to spring I notice it more - I have less motivation, stress easier, and get feelings of depression.
Give me a sunny day, no matter what the temperature, or let the temps get up around 60 when I can get outside and enjoy being out there and I'm like a different person.

I am definitly a Summer person! I like the rain, but I hate the cold, having to wear a few layers of clothing, feeling cold, nope, not for me!!! I love the warm/hot sun on my skin, not having to wear too much, swimming, picnics, blowing bubbles for my daughter, going for rides with the family!! I don't get depressed during Winter, but I am always looking forward to when Summer starts again! Yep!
