do you give your pets presents for their birthday?

Yes, I had an English Springer Spaniel and loved to buy her treats for special days like Christmas and what not! My parents always thought that was silly, but I think pets are like kids, they need treats and special treatments too!

We have a dog. And yes we do actually go out of our way to purchase presents for our dog when it comes to her Birthday. We don't only purchase presents for her on her Birthday, but also for Christmas & sometimes even other holidays we may celebrate. I feel our dog is apart of our family & we always treat her like a member of our family as well. I know last year when her Birthday rolled around I ended up creating a large biscuit for her. We used it as her Birthday cake & she just loved it! We also ended up buying a load of different toys for her as a few birthday gifts. We ended up giving them to her one by one at first & her eyes just went wide.. Almost like she was full of excitement just from watching us give her these toys. Then all of a sudden we gave them to her all at once & you should have seen her.. She had one toy in her mouth.. And the next minute she had another toy.. She ended up loving all of the gifts that we ended up giving her.. As well I remember last year for Christmas we went out of our way to purchase her a stocking.. The stocking actually had a window where we could put her picture as well. So we hung it in our room & she would sniff it occasionally almost like she knew it was for her.. On Christmas we ended up giving it to her & she just loved each thing we had decided to put in this stocking.. She had everything from bones, to things such as toys.. I feel no matter what we end up doing that.. We make our puppy feel like she is a member of the family.. I love giving her gifts for her Birthday & going the extra mile to make her feel special.. I think she loves how we make her feel as apart of the family each day.. I don't find we just wait for her Birthday to roll around to make her feel like she is apart of the family.. I find each day we make her feel special & apart of the family.. I think it's important to do this as well.. I think any animal one has loves to feel noticed by there owner.. In conclusion.. I know that each holiday that rolls around, especially on our puppy's Birthday that.. We go out & buy her presents to give her.. Seems each time we purchase these things days before her special day that.. She knows automatically that we have something for her but that she instead has to wait.. I love making our puppy feel as special as she truly is.. I think it is important to make your pet feel this way.. I know we love making our puppy feel important.. And in all honesty I think she appreciates how we take the time out to make her feel as apart of the family each & every day that passes us by! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

Well, as my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's birthday is at christmas he gets presents from everyone on christmas day - doggy stockings, treats, etc. He's on a diet though so a few treats like that last him a while!

I have a chocolate lab and I definitely pamper him with presents. I am in college now and I only get to see him a few times a year but when I am home I always buy him toys and treats and things and I have always given him a birthday party where some of my friends bring their dogs and presents and he opens them and they play games. It is so cute! And on christmas my parents and I both buy him presents which he opens.
