This is one of my favorite movies, and when I saw it, I really empathized a lot with her character, in a lot of ways. The outrage that she felt at Lucien being treated badly by the grocer, her desire to do good things, and to help people - and her sorrow when she thought she had lost her love.
I cried with her, I laughed with her.
So how did this movie make you feel? Can you relate to Amelie in your own life?

When I first saw the movie, I related a lot. I had just turned 18 and had moved to a new town by myself and had no friends. I was very introverted like Amelie and lived life inside my head. I also had elaborate crushes on people I didn't know (like Nino). I really wanted to do good things for others, but I was never as creative as Amelie. And I never had cute hair.

What i love about the movie is its background music with it. Her being introvert captures my imagination and makes me think of ulikely things that we woould not normally think like thinking of how many people do lvemaking at a particlar time and place. I want to watch it all over again. I love her eyes.

This made me laugh because my best friend had told me before that this movie reminded him of me as I am snoopy and mind other people's business. I decided that it was a compliment.

I can relate to Amelie very much. I feel like she feels as I do- like my heart is too big and aches for everyone and everything that is hurting. This movie made me feel good to know that someone else is out there whose heart aches for others.
