How long can you stay mad at your cats?

I wake up yesterday morning and one cat is sitting innocently in the window and the other sleeping on her blanket on the couch. On the floor are two of my plants, dirt everywhere. I had no idea which one was guilty, I turned and headed back to bed before I got too mad at the wrong cat. I stayed mad at both of them as I cleaned up the mess. I tried checking for paw prints. I still don't know who the guilty party was, but it took till dinner time before I stopped being pissed at them! How long can you stay mad when your darling does something wrong?

I am guilty of that also, I can't stay mad at my cats ever, they do some things in my house that I would be mad at my children for days, but my cats can do no harm, I hardly ever yell at them when they do wrong and I don't think one of them has ever been scolded for it either. They are precious to me and all the material things that happen to get in their way and break can be replaced but the love they provide me never can.

My cats have done their fair share of damage to things. Yes I get mad at them too. Depending on how much damage determines how long I'm mad at them. Sometimes it's a few hours and I'll just look at them when they come up for love and tell them they are still on my sh1t list and making up to me won't change it. Usually does though. I can't stay mad at them too long. They are just too cute.

Well one day my cat was fighting with another tomcat and I hate it because they both end up hurting each other so I interrupted them and picked up my cat and walked away. My cat was so into the fight that when I picked him up he bit me real hard. I didn't realize it until I reached home that his teeth had actually made a hole on my hand and it was bleeding like mad. I went to the doctor took medicens. When I came back home I was so mad at him that I didn't even wanted to see his face. But till then he was our normal loving pet who needed love and came to me for it like nothing had ever happened. I cried but allowed him to sleep on my lap. I don't think he knew what he had done. Its difficult to be mad at them.

I do find it very hard to stay mad at Moomin when she has been naughty. You get the big, wide-eyed look and the little purr, followed by the expression that says "sorry Mum". I am sending you a little pic, just to cheer you up

My cat is so sweet and innocent it is near impossible for me to be mad at her in the first place! She's always been my ultimate source of comfort in a living being, after all! If it happens (which it hasn't since she's been a kitten almost) it won't last more than five minutes.

I really find it hard to stay mad at my cat lol. She has mr wrapped around her little paws and she knows it.
She will do something such as use my new padded computer chair as a scratch mat (even though we have one for her) and then she comes wrapping herself around my legs as if to say sorry.
Although I know she's not sorry lol, she just knows how to make me stop being angry at her.

I don't have any cats to get angry or upset with, but with my dogs, I'm not able to stay mad at them for very long. They're so innocent and loving and they don't realize what they're doing.

Hi whywiki!
It happened several months ago, when my cat ate my lovebird inside the cage. It was a very colorful and beautiful lovebird. I hated my cat for about 5 long days for that reason and did not fed her for one meal and every time my cat licks me I often throw her away from me. I often spank her for a simple reason.
Then at the sixth day I realized that I was wrong for hurting my cat. I hugged and kissed my cat and I said sorry to her and I gave her all the comfort she needs.
Form that day forward I loved my cat very much. I didn't hurt her and cared for her every day.

A few minutes, the most. I become very angry when Waffles poops on the sunporch floor. Once I've cleaned up the mess, I'm no longer angry. Annoyed, yes, that the cat made a mess, but not angry. I'll swear at her, though.

I can't stay mad at them very long, and fortunately they have outgrown their phase of the serious mischief.
The wrst they do anymore is have a lttle accident because we have cleaned the catbox and fogotten to bring it back in (not their fault) or killed a bird, which makes me more sad than mad. That's only thier nature, so I can't really hold it against them.
