Current AJ Burnett has the second spot on the rotation but who would you really rather have there Burnett or Chacin?
For me it would be Chacin the guy is underrated mainly because of playing so few games last year and lack of run support, Burnett hasn't done much for the Jays at least yet.

While Chacin HAS been the better Blue Jay, a few of Burnett's starts last year made him look like a Cy Young winner.
I'm not saying it's never happened, but I don't remember a time when Chacin has pitched well enough to actually scare opponents. As I've said in other threads, he's always just pitched well enough to get the win, rather than well enough to guarantee a win (Halladay).

Thanks for the Best Response, I can tell you a lot of MyLotters would not award that to a post they disagree with.
Either way, you're right, I didn't think they were paying Burnett THAT much, but Chacin is a better value in terms of dollars per win. Of course, that's not to be considered when deciding who goes where in the rotation.
Just out of curiousity, where do our opinions differ?
Do you think Chacin is THAT great or do you really think Burnett is greatly over-rated?
I see Burnett winning 16-20, and Chacin winning 12-17.
