NEW to Blogsite?

I have to admit it, I am really naive for creating a blog. It's just that I don't know what to do and where to start. Somebody told me that I may create my account for free, then I tried them last week. I got my first blogsite but I don't know how to start with it. Do you know exactly what to do and where to go? What would be the benefits for creating such? Do I need to have my own blog? I am really naive for this things, please help me.
I am sure most people here knows what is a BLOG and how to create such. I would be needing alot of help from concerned members.

Hi Jen. I have to say, at least you are just naive. Me? I am totally ignorant...LOL..Though I plan to change that anytime soon now. Thanks for your post. You have a great day. .. and expect me to ask you more questions about the hows of blogging hehehe

Firstly I want to thank you for this discussion. To me a blog is new version of the good old-fashioned dairy.
I am interested in the responses and I find them interesting. I have a blog and I have not started on it and am at a loss on what to write and what not to write on it. Have a good night.
