Do you use Genuine Microsoft Operating system for regular updates?

I'm trying to get to update for IE 7 browser many times. But they are rejecting on the reason of your software is not genuine. How to make genuine with out purchasing the software again. Can any one help me.........

Unless you have purchased a fully authentic copy of Windows, what you are asking amounts to software piracy. Windows will now only update if it is a genuine copy and not one that has been copied from friends etc
