is anyone else mad about this- when i was 12-13 years old, from 2000-2002, i watched jackass ALL THE TIME. i remember i used to go to my moms on the weekends, then on sunday nights when i would come home, before bed at 10:00 i would lay down on my other bed with the blankets on and the lights off and watch jackass. every marathon they had, i watched every episode. now, if i remember correctly, MTV was told to take jackass off the air because it was "damaging the young teenage minds". no, it wasnt jackass, IT WAS THE PARENTS NOT TELLING KIDS THAT THE PEOPLE ON JACKASS ARE PROFESSIONALS AND THAT TEENAGE KIDS OR YOUNG KIDS CANNOT DO THAT IN REAL LIFE WITHOUT GETTING HURT! so once again, those stupid parents go blame MTV and jackass for their kids getting hurt because they saw it done on TV, and jackass gets taken off the air. jackass wasnt shown on TV until this year, and now im happy again because i can watch it like i used to before bedtime. but what about this new show, scarred? i can watch surgery shows, i can stomach seeing a baby born on TV or someones chest being ripped open for bypass surgery, but i just cant watch this new show, scarred. its disgusting. its worse than jackass, because these injuries really happened to these kids, and THAT can be shown on the air, but jackass cant? they cancelled the jackass tv series because of "kids imitating stunts" when the jackass crew wasnt even getting hurt that much, but this stupid show of kid's legs breaking, wrists bending all the way back to your elbow, and landing on your ankles and having them snap in half can be shown? what is up with this? it just makes no sense to me. what do you think?

I loved that show as a teen. I would watch it all the time too. But I realized not to try any of those stupid stunts. Just by watching it I realized it was dangerous, and the jackass "professionals" did end up getting hurt alot. It says though in bold letters at the beginning of everyshow " these stunts were performed by professionals, do not try any of these insane acts at home." Some people just don't get it. I don't think parents warning them not to try these stunts will evade them from trying it though, kids will be kids.

thank you for the response. i agree with you. but there are some parents out there that sit their children in front of the TV, and they dont teach them that most of the stuff on there you cannot do in real life. then, when their children go out there and mock the stuff they saw on a TV show done by professionals, instead of fessing up and realizing "i shouldve told them its fake", they blame everyone else and make it seem like the show is the bad thing. my dad always told me flat out i cant redo anything i see on TV, because its either unrealistic or done by professionals. more parents need to start doing that.
