My personal opinion is that exercise is important no matter what you're eating. It's good to keep your body active.
I'm sure negative calorie foods are great for helping you lose weight, but like everything else, they should probably be eaten in moderation. Your body needs a variety of good-for-you foods in order to operate optimally!
Best of luck with your weight loss goals.

If you're referring to the notion of a food that takes more energy to digest than the digestion actually provides, you might well be chasing a pipe dream.
It's not strictly "dangerous" to eat these things as long as they provide you with some nutrients/vitamins but they're likely not going to help you all that much in the long run.
The best solution to weight loss is to *combine* good diet with regular exercise. Starving yourself isn't going to work because your body will just slow itself down to compensate. Cutting your fat intake will help the most, but exercising to make sure your body is used to working harder (keeping you more fit, healthier, and helping you lose weight all at the same time) will also make a big difference.
You can't just diet without exercising and expect to lose any weight. It just won't work. Penn & Teller have done a couple of episodes of their show on Showtime (called "Bulls..t") about this issue. "Eat right and exercise" remains the correct answer. It's no quick-fix, but it's the right one.

While I understand the concept of negative calorie foods, I don't actually know of any food that fits this criteria. I'll have to do a search on it sometimes but for now, I wanted to say that it probably won't help much. There can't be too many of these foods and they won't provide you with a balanced diet so you will have to eat other foods as well. Besides that you will get tired of the same few foods over and over again and you will wind up "cheating" anyway and that won't do you much good. Eat a balanced diet which is low in fat and exercise regularly for a healthy lifestyle and for weight loss.

I am sure that it cannot hurt to add these foods to a healthy diet, but I would not suggest eliminating healthy foods. A healthy diet including all types of foods from all of the foods is essential for maintaining proper nutrition. Proper exercise is also necessary to maintain good health. Add in the necessary exercise, and you are on your way.
Try eating lower calorie, and lower fat foods instead of high fat and high calorie foods. Get plenty of exercise. Drink lots of water. This will help you a lot more than just eating negative calorie foods will. Good luck with your weight loss.
