I'm not a veteran yet. I'm still learning, but happily I have started with a good star and it even become blue the day after. I think the key is to post quality discussions. To respond to quality posts too. Avoid the one or two liner posts as cited by mylot. Follow the mylot guidelines and rules. And don't forget to rate all your discussions and others. Get to know your friends, view profiles and if you have a good choice of supportive members the rest is history. Happy Posting! Happy earning!(^^,)

It's likely more of your posts have been downvoted than upvoted. My friend found when she started posting here that getting into arguments with people (even if she was right) causes more downvotes than just engaging in "casual" conversation; if you take an unpopular position (even if you're right), people will downvote you when they disagree with you. Don't walk into any discussion here about philosophical topics if you want to suggest a different idea than the "clique" running the discussion believes is correct. You'll just get downvoted back to the stone age.
Start posting good discussions about "happy" topics -- favorite bands, favorite foods, etc. Start replying to silly topics. You'll eventually get more upvotes.

That's actually good advice will. But, I don't think that I'll take it. If I have to post something that I'm not really interested in, then what's the point? Its just like saying something for the sake of saying it. But, If I go on like this, I guess I'll just have to suck it in and become, ugh, "plastic".

You are lucky I do not even have a rating at all. So feel lucky you are up the ladder from me. I guess if you fall I will be down hill to soften your landing. LOL
