Have you ever felt that discussions here at myLot are kinda repetitive in nature? or Had you at times just seem to be bumping on discussions that you felt you already had responded on a particular discussions only to find similar traits with a bunch of other discussions & somehow felt frustrated asking yourself where best you can find one that interests you well & respond with gusto?
Or at time does selection of discussions tends to have direct connection with what moods you are set in, that you may even at times respond to totally outrageous or non sensible discussions just for the sake of it? Do you have particular patterns in order that you follow on selecting your discussions or you are the free-for-all come-what-may type guy?

Gee, haven't I seen this discussion before? Ha ha, just kidding. Yes, I feel that way lots of time. Especially with new users. How many times can I answer people about referrals, earnings and ratings. My goodness people, do a search first!
Sometimes I will take the time to answer them, but usually I find myself searching for something different. Something that not only attracts my interest but it's unique in it's nature. I think I spend more time searching for discussion than actually posting.

I know how that feels one day I must have been online here for over an hour, and maybe responded to only three posts, because so many were about referrals, etc, and I was looking for a topic to catch my interest, but when I tried looking for a topic under my insterests say reading, or movies, I couldn't find discussions I felt I could contribute to. I don't see a point in posting unless I am saying something real. Ok real to me.

Now were talking. Would'nt it be possible later that some sort of way to somehow classify these things? It would be far more effective rather than the kind myLot seems to classify them, would be effecient as well. How it would be done probably get focus groups here or rate it certain people here, exactly how that would be probably for another topic. Thanks guys

Just try to search for all the different interests that are covered, it maybe that you are just searching in a few so seeing lots of the same things. Once you realise how many different interests you can search in you will realise that there are loads of different subjects covered from news and cooking to movies and books. It is not always apparent how varied the topics are until you have been here a while.

Thats a bit frustrating, with 85k+ members, the idea of it is tremendous. You have a point though. Thanks

I do notice that discussions get repetitive. It kinda ebbs and flows. A lot of new people will come in all at one time and ask the same questions over and over again. Generally, I don't mind answering the same questions over and over for a little while. But, after about a week or so, I get tired of them.
Usually, I try to answer a certain number of discussions a day, but only if I can give a good, quality response. So, I may answer some silly ones if I can write at least a paragraph.

As the saying goes, "goin through the motion" - i learnt this behaviour when i got promoted as manager way back & this is the first thing one of the senior manager have taught me. I guess its a coomonplace behaviour whether we choose to or not.
At times, i purposely choose these silly topics. Some started with descriptions so limited with even just about a sentence of only 4-5 words in them, that doesnt even correlate directly to what the topic was about.
I usually gives answers too fit for a town cryer in the middle of a wet market.

Same problem may occur for a lot user. For that reason response may come with same substance.
For example a new user may fall in a problem which may fall fall another before. So it may happen but I think subtance may same by type of description should be different.

In fact I do. As mylot gather new members everyday who haven't come across past discussions, they tend to start a discussion they don't know was started months ahead. I can't blame them either. That's why I just ignore discussions similar to what i've read and replied before. Or if it's too interesting, I'd just reply again but probably with the same idea I had before.

Yes they are very repetitive. People don't use the search button. It is a shame. Discussions could have about 300/400 post each and this way, we only got a lot of repetitive discussions with 10 post each.

Its scary to imagine, that someone may have really put up a rather well crafted discussion, that would really ignite ones intellectual or emotional intelligence to spur a response, only to see it get dumped over & buried by tons of similar discussions let alone the veracity on the number of responses it gets.

Oh yes. I have answered most of the discussion I will answer more than a few times. That's why I am having so much difficulty finding worthwhile discussions to respond to now. Sometimes of course, I still answer again those discussion - to support my friends.
But this makes myLot more and more boring..

I guess we always look for that elusive poignant topic to be discussed with that would somehow hook everyone for weeks on & be a byword here in myLot. Untill then, its the boring topics that sustains us for now & some exciting ones from time to time.
What can be a good subject next? (i've scratched too much my head that im bald loosing hair from it, thinking)

Yep! I do agree with you. Mostly, all discussions or topics here are repetitive. They post and post for the sake of increasing their earning. If mylot blocks same topics, I guess there are alot of member's topic being block for repetition. hehehe. Come what may as the saying goes, join topics which are of meaning and interests you. Goodluck!

yeah there are too many similar talking here but i think its just normal coz ppl tend to have some same thoughts some same questions and how could we always check if anyone else has discussed it already b4 we post it?just pick one up and discuss.
personally i'd like to comment on various topics, which has nothing to do with mood.so maybe i am the free-for-all come-what-may type.

I feel that MyLot has become a lot more repetitive in veiw of its posts since the time i joined in here. The discussions here are the ones that i have already responded to and are mostly old ones. I am tired of seeing all those discussion with the same topic, i think that we need something new. Or else we need to filter out the existing discussions.

You are right about that. When the topic seems to be repetitive, I don't answer it anymore. Then I continue looking for a better one. But sometimes, I also answer all the topics, especially when my fingers are full of energy to touch the keyboard.

The selection of discussions is usually based on what is eye catching, and simple. Mylot is a place for relaxation.
I don't feel discussions are repetitive at all. They are all new! I would also like to say that you did pretty good with this one getting 24+ responses. YEAH BUDDY! Welp, I'm happy you respond to my discussions. Though at times, I still can't understand your sentence structure very well.
