hey friends lets be true to ourself and the other mylot members. We all know that posting big posts/discussion helps us in earning more . So my question is that do you try to unneccesary increase the word lenght of ur post/discussion??????? just to have more money and try fooling system even when you know that it is not actually required.you can convey the message even in 2 or 3 lines do you try to write same and same lines over and over again????????just writing same meaning line in two/three different ways (for example as i have done above lol)

I only post a response that is long enough to get across my point succinctly. That may be a few words, a few sentences or even a few paragraphs. I don't see any point in going on and on about the same thing over and over again. I also don't imagine for one minute that putting multiple punctuation helps the cause, do you ??????????? Also, I don't think it will fool the system into paying any more, I don't fully understand how it works but putting meaningless drivel into a discussion won't increase the payments.

I agree with you. I don't have any set lenght I will put into a discussion. I answer as intelligently and fully as I can. It is suppose to be a discussion. Not a one line response. I also think that the people that write a one sentence discussion opener are cheating themselves. I go thru alot of them to even find something worth responding to. It would benefit them and us a whole lot more if they asked a question and responded on it rather then exspecting us to give all the imput. It gets annoying seeing the same person with a bunch of one liners. Oh well its just my opinion.. Tammy

i totally agree with you there hasnt to be any fixed length or any criterai that there has to be this much word length.I think we can write preety gud ans and explanation even with small no of sentences .But my idea of starting this was becoz i read a no of posting giving idea for long posts and actually i saw a lot of this kinda of practice being followed.i did see afew discussion like that so decided to combine both of them to start a discussion

I'm still a newbie here, just over 24 hrs, I guess. I don't know if doing those things really work but when I post, I don't really force myself to make my posts longer than it needs to be. Sometimes I use many words but that's just the way I write, I do not do it intentionally just to earn more. I don't put unnecessary punctuations either. Once I get to my point and I feel I've said enough, I stop. Just like this.

Hi Ninong, Welcome to MyLot. I hope your have a very rewarding and pleasant time here. I also wanted to add that I love your avatar. The real question is: Did you paint the glases and facial hair, or did someone else (chuckle, chuckle).

I don't post lenghty discussions when not necessary, but will you blame the people that do? Mylot has somehow made it a rule to make your posts as long as possible, thereby making people post unnecessary junk!

Well i usually try to stick to the topic and the lenght depend upon the question if the question demands just yes or no, i complied else i do try to give descriptive answer in order to make myself understood by others.

Actually I don't try to increase the length of the response, posting decent and long responses only till some extent help earn more... but I don't increase the length of the response unnecessarily but only try to give adequate content in my response and not just one word responses...

Good morning all, Actualy brevity is not one of my personal strengths. Though I truly admire those who've mastered it. So ... No. I do not attempt to stretch out a post. Rather my goal is generally the opposite; to keep it as thorough and concise as possible. The reason for unintentional length is that in my experience more confusion and animosity result from incomplete communication than contrary communication. If given the choice, I will always prefer to offer a bit more info and avoid leaving the reader in a position to have to interpret my actual meaning. To those who've suffered (or dozed off) as a result of my lack of brevity ... sincerest apologies.

I will only post a response that is long enough for me to say what I want. I can't imagine trying to add unnecessary words or punctuation to help my daily earnings increase. I've seen so many discussions where people purposely add extras such as ??????? to try and help increase their earnings and I personally find it annoying. Added to which, I'm sure Mylot will take that into account when they tally up the earnings for the day. I can't imagine people would be paid for more useless responses or discussions.

i think you think in the right way.but it is not necessary to increase your response.but the heading have its on interest.if you gave heading a better meaning then you get more responses

Yes, I do like to make my posts longer, but not to "fool the system" as you say. I don't make them longer all the time and also I wouldn't call the way I make it longer unnecessary. I just like to expand and go into detail about what I've said. Usually I state my quick, bried answer, and then I go into detail on why or how, to better answer the question.

Do it look like that I am increasing the lenght unnecessary because I am writing something which is not meant to be written. We write because on the left it is again written that be as descriptive as possible,so my response is getting more and more descriptive. But the actual thing is writing is something which noone wants. So we type unnecessarily.was it long??

i dont purposely do it if i do! lol. I have tried my best to post quality answers but sometimes it is quite hard and I do end up saying it in as many ways as possible then reading over it after i have posted and think... will they notice that... thankfully they rarely do... or they dont say anything. lol. If you actually post 1, 2 or 3 liners people class that as not paying enough attention and some have even reported me for it and i know they have because they had great pleasure saying 'i reported you, it was only 2 lined answer and that is spam' i was rather annoyed. so now i do my best to write detailed answers. very good discussion though. i wonder how many people procrastinate with their answers

If I suddenly realised that I could say in one sentence what I want to say then I might try to pad it out. Like if you have to write an assignment and it has to be a certain word length and you have the awful feeling you don't know enough to reach it then your sentences suddenly become increadably wordy and you almost become an author just to come up with the correct number of words.

Truly speaking i do this thing just to make the minimum length of my post to be atleast 4-5 lines. I had set this goal the time i joined MyLot and since theni have been replying to discussions in 4-5 lines. It has helped me quite a lot.

Yes , after reading some responses where they said that to earn more for the responses one should have atleast 8 sentences I tried to increase the length of the responses unnecesarily. But then I found that it has become my habit and the repsonse I am giving is not that unnecessary but are becoming meaningfull and also effective.Previously I just used to reply for the sake of responding. But even now I do add sometimes one or two extra sentences if I feel the length is not that much.
