Do you say what people want to hear to keep a high rating?

I really am sorry to disagree with you but I do not think that people give negative ratings if they disagree with you. I think that people give negative ratings if the content and discussion has no meaning.there really isn't a system at mylot, you just start and reply to discussions add pictures and earn money and make friends along the way. your ratings will go up with more quality posts and more replies I really don't think just cause someone don't like your topic they are going to come in and rate you negative that just don't seem right and I really don't see that happening here.

I just respond with whatever is on my mind. I try not to offend anyone or hurt anyones feelings, not because of ratings, just because I try to be a nice person. But I do realize that not everyone is going to agree with everything I have to say. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinions on certain issues. I would never give anyone a negative rating just because they had a differing opinion from mine and I would hope I would be given that same respect. The only way I would give a negative rating would be if someone were calling me names or just being blantantly rude.

Well, Sweet-heart you do half to watch what you say on Mylot. It is this one guy on here that is only been here for a month and is trying to run things, saying we should report one liners, I wouldn't report anyone. this is a talk forum. I will report abuse. other than that I will not report anyone. if you don't like discussion move on. I think to get high rating your half to talk about something that everyone can relate to.

It wouldnt even be interesting if everbody sat here and agree to everything somebody say.I dont kiss nobody's a*s for a high rating.Just like somebody said they didnt believe in God,and of course I believe in GOD so I had to disagree.Everybody is entitled to their own opinions.Its the weirdos that abuse the system like that.Like now they probably get mad and rate me with - only because im being me.I think it takes alot for your rating to go down,i really dont know how it works though.

I just don't respond to a discussion if I think someone will oppose my point of view. I do this because my rating dropped so quickly (overnight)and I still can't figure out why.

I say whatever is true. I don't care if someone doesnt like it, that's life! My opinion is my opinion and if someone doesnt like it they can feel free to -, ignore me, or whatever else.

i would not know where to start to do this. I have my opinions and i will always express them whatever the negative consequences for me. I honestly feel we should be able to see who has given us negative ratings and that they have to say why they feel this is justified. In short no, i hold my love me or leave me high. No, I will always say what I think, coz otherwise i would be lying and my rating is not that big of a deal. Sure I am proud to be a 10, but I am prouder that i got it just by beeing me =)

When I post to a discussions I always say what I feel. I can be very blunt at times about it but I don't hide what I feel on an issue. Personally I like a good debate so I don't have a problem with disagreeing with someone. I'm really surprised at times that my ratings are as good as they are because I know I've posted some very unpopular comments at times.

Well for me I usually don't answer a discussion if I know someone will be offended or strongly disagree enough to put down my rating... I know I shouldn't hesitate but I just do. I guess I sometimes think that it is better to play safe.

If I feel my different opinion will give me a lower rating I sometimes just don't bother posting a response, but I usually do (and just accept the fact that I'll get a minus sign rating) as I feel that any discussion needs both sides and different opinions to remain interesting. If people can't respect my opinion then that's their problem and not really mine.

I respond to other peoples questions as honestly as I can. I do not give answers for plus rating. Actually I'm surprised my rating have nor gone down for some of the responses I have given on these religious post. I'm not ashamed of God and I will let people know whom I believe and trust in. If I can not rate someone honestly because I do not agree with their post then I do not rate them. It would nor be a fair rating.

I am of the opinion that one should express his/her views without considering how other people will take it. This is a discussion forum. Here discussions could be made live and healthy only if all posts their opinions and views openly. I don't care of the rating. It comes as it must be.

I respond to the discussion not with an intention to increase my rating. I respond just to make my point heard, no matter if its against or in favour of the topic. I think that being kiss butt, should not be follwoed here because here everyone sees our posts so we should post our own true opinion of things.

No but suprisingly I haven't made anyone very angry. I would never kiss butt for a rating. However I do tend to avoid the discussions that could get me into trouble. That's probably another reason why my rating has stayed as good as it has. However I think it's aweful if someone puts a negative just because they disagree with the persons response. If youre asking for advice then you listen, you don't have to take it. It's all opinions.

No I don't. I just give my opinion on the subject. That is what is great about this site the diverse opinions. I haven't experienced what you are talking about but it is an interesting thought.

I am always going to say what is on my mind! always! i love mylot, i have met some really nice people here and making a few nickles extra a day for doing something i enjoy is just a plus. with that being said it is not enough money that is going to have me sugar coating what is on my mind. i speak from the heart and i am always honest. and no amount of money is going to keep me from being me

I don't give minus signs when someone disagrees. I think disagreeing can be an important part of a discussion. I give minus signs when a response doesn't address the topic or it is flippant response to a serious topic. I guess I'm not in myLot only for the money, since I don't do some of the things others do to run up their totals. I don't start trivial discussions that ask for a "yes" or "no" response. And I don't respond if I have nothing more to say than "yes" or "no". I try to state my opinion and explain why I think that way and give examples or specific advice or direction to sources. I want my response to be useful, thoughtful, and respectful. I believe I can disagree respectfully.

I am completely honest when it comes to giving responses on Mylot. I am who I am and if people don't like me for that - tough sh!t. I'm not out to cause trouble, but nor will I beat about the bush. I tell things how I see them, and if people want to rate me negatively, thats up to them. It wouldn't bother me anyway. My rating isn't important and neither are the earnings. I'm here because I've made friends, and I enjoy discussions the different topics that get posted here. I'll always give my honest view though, I'm not going to kiss a*s just to keep my rating high.

Generally I say what I want to say.Since thats the way I want to express myself.May be there is a great danger to earn a minus for the comment but its your idea so you have the emtire right to say your words.Minuses may decrease your ratings buut I don't think it might decrease your earnings since it depends upon your quality of responses. But not in all cases people mark negative to those responses which are not according to their own opinion.So its better to say your idea rather rthen flatter the others.
