i think it depends to when they are very much attached to, to whom they spend most of their time together with. but mostly, it's the mom who is closer to their kids than their dad. this is mainly because most dads are out working while most moms are left at home to take care of their children and look for their welfare.

I think its all true... And the reason why is it so becoz its the moms who stay more with the kids not the dads, who r out at work all day.. Even I have been very close to my mom all my life, even still now that I am 22 I have been spending a lot of time with my dad at his office...

It depends on the situation. There are many dads out there raising kids on their own and in this instance, the kids are closer to their dads. In my family, yes, the kids are much closer to me, their mother. I am the one who is with them daily. I have been a stay at home mom for 15 years, so when they need something, I am the first one they come to. It is funny to me that I can be out shopping and my husband home with the kids and my phone will ring. It will be one of my kids asking me something that they could ask their father. They always come to mom first.

Well, I can only speak for my daughter. When she's not feeling well she'll definitely glued to me. And she spend of her time with me because my husband working schedule, but when my husband home she'll definitely can not be separate from him.
But either way, she loves both of us equal.

I think a child will be closer to the one that treats them better regardless of whom they spend the most amount of time with.

Kids tend to be closer to their mothers than to their fathers because its their mothers that they spend more time with because the fathers are always away for their jobs. But its the other way around if the mother is the one away most of the time.
