I would die for somebody I loved. I couldn't imagine letting them die when I could have prevented it with my own life.

I hope that I would be willing to risk myself and even die if it meant protecting someone I loved and treasured, I don't that anyone can say for sure that they would until faced with that situation, as the instinct to survive in human beings is so strong.
I know I have been willing to risk being harmed and hurt to protect others, ie run in front of a car that was speeding down the road to get a child out of the way of harm, so hopefully that is a good sign that I would be willing to risk my life, or even die to protect those I care for.

Yeah I think your right because until that situation comes you really don't know and often it is a split decision where you don't have time to think but just time to act.

Die for someone? That sounds vintage story. I wouldn't die for someone, unless I die while doing some work for others. Like Shahajahan asking his wife to die to prove how much she loved him. IT is is not worth loving someone who asks for our lives. I am born to live, experience the life and would like to die naturally or accidentally without my knowledge.

I would like to believe that I am willing to die for someone that I love. However, until the situation should arise, nobody really knows how they would respond.

To be perfectly honest with you the only ppl I would without a doubt and without hesitation put my life on the line for or actually die for to save them etc is my kids....Anyone else, as much as I'd like to think I would, I wouldnt BECAUSE OF my kids...
