If we wipe out the rainforest- we are on our way- it will cause major damage. There are so many living things we will kill off including people who call this their home. If you take out a whole ecosystem it will through all others off balance. It is already happening. A few trees on our streets does not compare to what the benifits of the rainforest gives.

The rain forest is important because it provides it has the power to refresh the air we breathe. another important source of fresh oxygen is the plankton of the oceans. we must not use endangered wood species of the rain forest, it is the full scale cutting down of forests that is destroying the rain forest.
you can take action by finding organizations devoted to the subject and taking action with them by many ways of participating including online petitions, letter writing campaigns or just simply learning about it and sharing your knowledge.

I dont want to go into too much detail but I dont think that a few trees on every street is enough. Here is one reason: Because of cemented pavement, trees cannot disperse there seeds for new trees to grow. Therefore the old ones will eventually die and nothing will be left to take its place. Soon (in a world without rainforests) all the old trees will die out and there will be no more oxygen being breathed out by the trees and thats bad news, because, as I'm sure you're aware, humans need to oxygen to survive.

Lot of trees together cools the atmosphere , hence the clouds ae attracted to rain.THis may be the reason?
