I have come to find that age is not all that important. The most important thing is health. I love my current wife very much and she is about 3 years younger than I but her health is poor. She has complications from diabetes.
This limits what she can do and as a result limits me also. Even had I found a woman older and she were in good health it would have been preferable. But I love my wife and except what is.
I do believe however there is a limit to how far apart the ages should be. When there is a lot you don't have in common no amount of attraction can make up for that. My sister is married to a man 10 years older. It works because he is in good health. He is now 75 she is 65. So the real answer depends on the couple and how compatible they are.

I think we are just trying out to hide the things creating question around the main issue of relationship and its sustainability!
It is not a question of young or old or same age group but have you both felt something there in your relationship which iis sustainable? or say that some thing nice to feel and share and like to experience that and to grow with that and feel more richness in relationship?
Now a day people who are really thinking and positive regarding life and relationship are accepting that the friendship aspect in man-woman relationship must be more emphasis when it comes to marriage and companionship also!
I think i must stop here to go the discusion on further level!

I never really thought about it much. I guess I always figured no more than 5 years younger or 5 years older. My girlfriend is a few years older than me. She is the love of my life. So I guess to answer your question it seems I prefer older than me.
