How do you feel about the US Internet Gambling Ban?

It's like we never learn.. Prohibition just does not work. There's a reason we repealed the ban on alcohol in the 1930's and I'm sure this ban will last an even shorter term. Effectively the only thing this ban has solved is it pushed a lot of potential money and tax dollars out of our already deficit coffers. The gambling hasn't stopped, it's just now restricted to being done in foreign currencies instead of US dollars, funneling further money from states. This is only what I've gathered from a few articles but i'd like to hear what others know about it, it's chance of being repealed, or maybe reasons why it was a good idea. Tell me what you think.

I do not think it is a good idea. I am an affiliate for a few casinos online and I know that some of them do not allow US players, and some of them who have banned players from the US are now letting them back in. Its really up in the air about what is going to happen, but from what I have been hearing there are a lot of people fighting back and I do think that eventually the US will be allowed to gamble online as they wish. It seems the only reason they do not want people gambling online is because the US government is not getting a piece of the action. But that is solely my opinion.
