Hey, hey, what is this glossing to which you are referring? I haven;t heard of it. Is it beneficial for all hair types?

Hi Ruby, does your hair stylist offer certificates for your hair cuts and perms? Does she give you discounts: senior citizen discounts;)+

My hair is fairish. I used to be blonde when I was younger but it has darkened considerably over the years. I tend to have it cut just below my shoulders and it's thick, I always have to straighten it when I wear it down or else it becomes v. wavy. Apart from that, I don't really do anything special to treat it..:)

I have long black hair,i think it should be considered as thin hair. The texture is good and smooth but i need to take care of it carefully. I have to take more than 15 minutes everyday to wash my long hair, I think it is a big trouble to have long hair when you are washing it,and i have to choose a suitable shampoo and conditioner in order not to hurt my hair, if not ,my hair will get rough when times go by. I have to take care of it really well.

Yes, long hair is much harder to take care of. You must really be careful, I bet, with what type of shampoos you use on it..don't you? What type do you tend to use ? +

So do you think that conditioner does more harm or good fro your hair? I always thought conditioner makes your hair fuller and more manageable?:)+

I know that dry hair is quite a problem for many and less washing does help this problem. Some people even use a special shampoo;)+

I heard the same thing: that is that blow drying your hair is not good for you. I heard that it actually helps to make your hair fall out..Have you heard this. .Glad you take care of that golden brown hair..:)+

i have black hair and it is almost short. i think my hair is thin because thats what a lot of people say. i dont know how i would take care of it actually, i think by taking a shower everyday and putting shampoo, thats the only thing i do.

My hair at the moment is a reddish colour, underneath though it is greying. When I was little I had golden ringlets and my hair stayed blonde until about 8 or 9 then it darkened. I started lightening it when I was about 16 and stayed that way for a lot of years until one day I decided to go red, so over the last few years thats how it has stayed. My hair has always been very thick but have noticed it thinning out. I have had my hair very very long to sit on, to really short, now am considering getting it cut short again to thicken it up a bit, don't think I will colour it blue though like a lot of aging women do.

My hair are black. It has a mid shoulder length. But I'm planning to get it a little bit longer. They are not to thin or thick. Just the right proportion so you can easilly wear them loose or tighted. Is the word tighted right LittleFrancis? Did I use it right?
How do I take care of my hair? I shampoo it every other day. And sometimes I love to have a cellophane, mud spa, hot oil or have them relax(straightened but not that harsh treatment, just to straight the ends). How about you dear? (^^,)

i have a long straight hair. its natural color is dark brown but i always dyed it black. long black hair complements my complexion and my face so i usually stick with that.
my hair is thick and somehow its quite hard to handle and styled so i usually wear my hair down.
to take care of my hair, i shampooed it twice a week and use conditioner everyday. then, every month i have it trimmed and hot-oiled. its my hairdresser's advice so i follow it.

My hair is light ashe brown with gray seeded throughout, but more at my temples. My hair is thin toward the top since menopause hit and thinker in the back. I used dandruff shampoo toward the front and then wash it and all my hair with hypo-allergetic baby shampoo. I was using dove, but the build-up got to be too much. I may go back to using coconut hair conditioner now that winter and dry hair are here again. Take care

I forgot to say the length, it's short, a lot shorter than I thought it was going to be, it's almost a boy cut.

My hair is a reddish brown and longer. It falls to about the middle of my back. I have bangs cut and a few layers throughout.
Its very fine, but thick and I think it's very soft and silky, my best feature in fact!
I wash and condition my hair daily with Pantene Moisture Renewal formula. If I don't, it goes very oily and I can't stand it. I usually will blow dry my hair in the colder months, but try to let it dry naturally as often as I can. It curls a bit when I do.
When I'm in a more humid climate it's pretty curly and forms ringlets around my face.

I have long auburn (bottle-colored) hair with blonde highlights. I wash it every other day. If I can get away with it, I will hold off washing it for three days and on the second day I will "wash" with just conditioner. I have normal to dry hair that is curly, so it helps to tame the frizzies!

My hair is dark brown but turns auburn in the summer. It is shoulder length and VERY THICK. I hate my hair. I try to keep it braided or I wear a weave. And occassionally I go through my wig phase. Weaves and wigs a hair accessories to me. I hate my hair with a passion. My friends and family have so many times said that I was born the wrong race or say I should've been a boy, because I complain about my hair too much. Being black and having to deal with our hair is just so much work. We have to either get a relaxer (about $50 at the salon, $10-$15 if you want to attempt to do it yourself(good luck on that one) or we have to wash and press it. There are so many things we have to do to our hair I find it insane. We have to oil it and really tend to it. We have to spend pretty much a whole day in the salon to get the look we want. I spend 2-3 hours alone under that dryer because my hair is so thick. All I know is that whenever I hear of someone going to cosmotology school (black or white) I encourage them that if they want to make good money, to specialize in doing ethnic hair. The money that we spend at the salon is just insane. A black woman could easily spend over $100 in one visit, not only that but we have to go back once a week or every other week to maintain the gorgeous hair-do. And the return trips can cost anywhere from $50 to $75. So, me being the penny pinching mother of 6 (5 girls) I try to just stick with my braids or a wig. And when I get my braids I have a friend do it, because if you get your hair braided at the salon that can cost almost or more than $200. Yes, you read that right, $200. I know it's insane, but that's what we go through to take care of our hair.

I changed mine about two years ago.I got it cut real short and had it high lighted and i love it t made me feel an look younger.Right now it needs to be high lighted again but i have not been able to go and have it done .My hair was jet black before it started to turn gray.I am Cherokee Indian and i wanted a change. I have tried a few hair cut styles and I still wound up always putting it back into a ponytail, so I tried to put braids in the ponytail.
