Why do some myLot members don't upload images in their discussions??

I don't know why.. for me, it's like they're wasting the opportunity to earn as much money as possible. Adding images in your start up discussions give you extra pay, right? So why not add an image?! I'm just curious..
Did you notice some discussions that don't have any images too?
If you are a new myLot member, I encourage you to include images in your new discussions because you will get paid for that too.

The reason why I don't is because I don't have an image ready for every discussion I start. I like to use only my own images or images from sites that give me permission. I think I have over a thousand photos on my computer because I am a photographer, so it takes me a while to go through all of them. Or, I have to make my own graphics. So, instead of taking hours to go through them all and lose the spontaneity of starting a discussion, I don't put them in. Besides, the pay is not very good for all that effort.
Also, I don't like to post all my photos on the web because I'm afraid someone might start using them as their own.

Oh yeah, that's true, you should keep your own photographs because a lot of people can just steal it. But you can just get images from websites that provides free images though ;)

Well, mylot has rules about pictures. You are meant to have the rights to any picture that you add. I've only added one, and that was in a thread about my cat. I took the picture, I get to post that.
I did post one that was just from an internet search (a book cover) - and then I read that and it wasn't my picture, but I couldn't figure out how to delete it again.
I don't want to post pictures just for the sake of it. If I have a picture that I took, that is relevant to what I am posting about and I am comfortable sharing it, I will -- but I'm not just going to upload pictures for the sake of doing so, and especially if it adds no meaning to my discussion.

I don't add them so much any more because I am not getting credited for them. One day I uploaded at least five and only got .01 for it and that was not the first time either. I still up load every now and then but don't count on getting anything for them.

It happened to me also, just yesterday. I posted like 5 new discussions with 5 photos per discussion, and I was only credited for the 2 images I added.. hmm.. that's not quite fair..

If you compare the time it takes to find images and then upload them to the time it takes to reply to a discussion, or write one up, posting images is a waste of time and energy. They just don't pay enough to be worthwhile.

I want to add image in my discussion but whenever I submit it there was no image appearing don't know why. My friend who is also a member in myLot says that to be able to add an image on your discussion you should be able to post atleast 100 to 200 responses because it is stated in their rules. Is this true.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I have the same problem, and I've made over 300 posts/responses so far...
Someone told me it was 500 posts, so maybe that is the magic number.

There's actually no certain number of posts for you to be able to add an image. Ever since I started out here in myLot, i've already been posting images. Maybe it's in your browser or something, don't really know how to explain that. But well, don't worry.. you're not missing out on something big ;) Happy posting ;)

Lol, it's okay if you don't upload or if you do, it's your own preference. Just thought i'd encourage the members here so as not to waste even a single cent, God bless ;)

I quit uploading images because for the time it takes, it isn't worth the penny for me. I can reply to several posts in the time it takes to upload an image. Someone said the other day that it is now one cent no matter how many images one posts per day?

I don't add images because it takes forever to upload with my connection speed, plus they usually only give you about 0.1 USD for a picture and I believe you get about 0.2 to 0.4 for a good reply. So if it takes you ten minutes to upload a picture with your discussion you could have posted many replies by then. I sometimes upload a picture when I know I have it. Also, some people don't want their pictures to be stolen and re-used on the internet. That is the worst. Well take care and have a nice day.

If I have a discussion that can benefit by uploading a pic, then I try to add one but I didn't alway have this capability. Until I was able to upload them to discussion, I had to be satisfied with adding the pic to my profile & just referencing it was in my profile in my discussion.
I just uploaded 1 discussion photo yesterday, but I didn't mind the extra 1 cent being added to my days activity total. I have a feeling that pic is actually going to earn me a bit more than it has so far, LOL. :D

Hi there gegegelay, how are you doing? I love this discussion, thanks for posting it. I love searching for images to post. To me, it says that I care enough about the posts that I read to look for images to respond with. I enjoy it and yes, we can make more money by uploading images. Thanks for the great discussion. Take care...

Hi there! Thanks for your very nice comment. I think you're the only in this discussion who agreed with me, hehe.. ;) But I appreciate everyone who responded and I respect all your opinions. Thanks a lot and happy posting! God bless you.

Images do not really earn any money. Put it this way - for most people, it is more worth it money-wise to spend the time looking or getting pictures to respond to discussions instead. You will get more money.
Another reason for no images in discussions is that perhaps the discussion starter just has no suitable image for that discussion.

I don't normally do it because I am already at my photo upload maximum when whatever brilliant idea I have strikes me for a new discussion. I knew I would get paid extra, but I just never seem to get around to it.
How much extra do you get?

Wow, you must've already uploaded tons of photos! Well, the highest I got so far is 0.4, I know it's nothing but still, it adds up to my pay! lol ;)

I've been successful at uploading only two images, but it's not like I haven't tried. I find it frustrating as the image that I try to upload doesn't for some reason. You're right, the images do add to revenue and hopefully as I become more experienced I will be able to do this without any problem.

I will add when I have an image that relates to my topic. Most times, however, I don't, so I don't bother. A penny isn't worth the time or effort it takes to find an appropriate image to upload.

I'm not new here on mylot and I know about uploading images and that you get paid for it. I think I'm just lazy. I don't know where to get free images. I know that we don't have the right to just post images that we find on the Internet? Where do you get your pictures? Thank you.

I don't add images here because well, for one they're 8MP shots and would take forever to upload, and I'm too lazy to resize them.
Oh, and that whole thing where I can sell them on stock sites for ridiculous amounts of money that puts my other online earnings to shame =)
