If you have did you feel a lot better about yourself after you did. When I say give to charity I mean anything, even volunteer work. Do you fit into the category now. If you don't do you plan on giving to charity soon?

Yes this fits me perfect for today. Today in the paper there was a article about a church was broken into and 200 dollars was stolen. So I felt REALLY bad and actually wrote out a check for 200 dollars and brought it down to the church. I think that was the right thing to do I mean the kids and the adult were so thankful I felt so good about myself.

I am selective is giving donations. And my giving is depending on my situation at that point of time, for example, I just gotten a bonus, I might be more willing to give. I do not do any volunteering working. I might try it at some point of time in my life.
At time, I will prefer to give the money to the people directly, knowing that 100% of the money will be put to good use by the recipient. And if you donate it to a charity organization, part of the money will goes into admin cost to run the organization, in the end, probably only 70% of the money goes to the people needing it.

I used to sponsor a little girl who lives in Colombia, through World Vision. It didn't necessarily make me feel better about myself - at the time that I did I had the extra to give - but getting a letter from the little girl felt amazing. Hearing how she was doing in school, etc - and knowing that I was a part of that. My regret is that I couldn't continue the sponsorship since I lost my job and a bunch of other stuff.
