my sweetie died last year. Named pork bun he was a true sweetheart. he died when I was in my 7th or eighth month. I got him from the shelter and before they found him, he'd been outside. There are so many dangers for all cats - but he was pure white and developed skin cancer. I didn't know the marks on his ears were that when I adopted him. The vet said they would have to put him to sleep or remove his ears, eventually his eyes and nose. I put it off - he wasn't in pain - and cried for months. Finally we had it done - he looked me right in the eyes as if to say - save me as the shot went in and he passed. I know if I kept him it would be for me...and he would suffer greatly - it was still very difficult - especially at the height of pregnancy. I could swear I would hear him and see him out of the corner of my eyes for months. I still miss him.
Have you lost a four footed loved one? what was it like for you?

I am really sorry about your cat (it must have been really beautiful, being all white) but you did the right thing. After a while it would have indeed suffered greatly, especially since his eyes and nose had to be removed if it was to live...
I'm sure it must have been a very difficult thing to do though :(

I'm so sorry about your kitty! I had 2 cats die last year quite suddenly. One from drinking anti-freeze, and the other from being hit by a car. It's like losing members of your family. We buried both of them in the backyard, each in his or her own little corner. The older cat, Pouncer, was about to turn 7 years old, and the younger cat, Buddy was about to turn 2 years old.

awwww that's so sad. will your next cats be indoor cats to prevent it from happening again. I realize some think it terribly cruel for them to be kept inside.
thanks for your comment!

I am sorry for the loss of your cat. Its never easy. I have lost many animals in my life, both dogs and cats. Its very heartbreaking. I just lost a dog last October and I still cry sometimes. I still miss him terribly. I have him buried outside in the yard and I go out and talk to him everyday. He was a part of my family. He is the dog in my avatar.

OHH I am so sorry for your cat. I have two dogs and i cant even think that what will happen if something happens to them. They are like are own family members. My mom sometimes tells me that I feel that dogs will just say mama to her.If my dogs are not well my mother prayers for their well beings.I cant even imagine a life without them.

My grandfather adopted some dogs and cats in the past decades.I remember that a cat lived in our family for almost ten years and a dog over ten year. They were really my friends .I will never forget them. They could be very tame and good to our family than other strangers, and almost could understand our meanings.I suppose their are my best friends.

Sorry to heat about your cat. My favorite cat disappeared last year and I still go by my old apartment and look for sometimes.
