DH and I are and have been practicing (as much as we can) attachment parenting and baby wearing. When our lo was new born he just LOVED being in my sling ezee sling, he was close to my chest and as 'cramped' as he was in the whom. Have you noticed any benefits of the AP approach? or would you do things differently?

I think it is a good way to bond with the baby. When the baby feels our warmth, he feels comfort and love. I used a carrier for my baby and she just really feels comfortable. She stops crying and easily sleeps.

I too think it's a great way to bond with our baby. Both, my husband and I truly support this method, but our parents really don't agree with it, they say we're setting up our lo to be spoiled and lazy. No matter how much or how we explain it to them, that this is a GOOD situation, they just don't get it. I guess the only ones who must me in accordance are my husband and I,right? :o) How long have you been practicing this method? How did you come to hear of it?

I love to wear my daughter. We do chores around the house together. My favorite carrier right now is the mei tai but carriers are so expensive to buy. I love AP.

I was never really able to do chores around the house, since i had him in the kangaroo hold, in front of me, so it was hard. But I did carry him all the time and he loved it. Now that he's a littl older he prefers to be in his jumperoo and on the floor with his toys, but we still carry him when we go out. I've seen the mei tai's and they're beautiful, but they are a bit expensive. I love AP too, it's so rewarding.

I wear my son whenever I get the chance. He's quite the independent boy though! I find he wants it most when he's tired, teething, or sick. He'll fuss, and fuss until I put him in my sling and then he's happy! I also try and wear him when we go out for the day. I alternate between my carrier, sling, and the stroller. If we had a car I don't think we'd need a stroller actually. I also have co-slept with my son, but even at 9 months he needs his own space sometimes. Sometime he just wants to be in his crib!

My lo loved the sling when he was newborn, but after 4 or 5 months he didn't like it as much, maybe because he was in the kangaroo hold, with his legs all bunched up. So we had gotten a carrier when I was pregnant, so we've been using that. I really want to carry him in the sling again because it was much more comfortable than the carrier. We also alternate between the carrier and the stroller. We co-sleep too, but he sleeps in his little bassinet. Sometimes though I put him in between my dh and I, but that doesn't work to well, since he's a mover. And now the bassinet is getting to small for him, so we're going to try and move him into his crib. We'll see how that goes.
