They go in stages, one week they wont eat anything the next they eat one thing (like chicken), then they'll eat everything, and then they are back to eating nothing.....I run a daycare and beleive me it's perfectly normal, Kids change their minds about what they like and dislike from day to day. And for some they hardly eat at all. If you are conserned about her health buy some pediacare. You can add it to some ice cream and make milk shakes with it, she will think she's getting a special treat, And you'll be happy to see her sucking down all those vitamins.

at one point all 3 of my kids were like that. my dr. said it was nothing to worry about and to just give them vitamins and that they would eat when they got hungry, and most usually that was the case! I have found out that it's true that when they're nearing a growing spurt they'll eat and eat like there's no tomorrow! My youngest was very picky and still is, almost 12 now but i've found out that when they get hungry they let you know!

Stop giving her the juice when she wants it, restrict her fluid intake to specific times of the day, like nap time and bed time and AFTER she has eaten something. I know it sounds cruel, but filling herup on sugary fluids will only take away her appitite. Give her finger foods to eat throughout the day. My grand daughter who is 16 months loves being handed a baggie of cereal in the morning so she can munch away while watching her favourite tv shows or pushing her dollies around on her tot rod.

Somedays my son is like that, then other days he eats all day long. I don't offer juice because that fills them up and doesn't fill up their stomaches with proper nutrients. When he's picky, I just keep offering him food. He knows how to climb up in his highchair, so he'll go there when he decides he's hungry.

My 3 year old does alot of pickey eating phases. He will go through a week where ALL he will eat is a penut butter and jelly sandwitch. I just put the food in front of him, healthy choices and hope that he iwll eat something more then what he demands. Many times he will pick smething else up. And untill then, i just let him eat what he really wants. But i keep offering choices. As for making sure you get her her dietary needs. Give a mulit vitamin which will help alot. Call it candy or something but keep them high. And make sure she stays hydrated, water down her juice and whatnot. :) Parenting a toddler is difficult at best, just keep offering.

Don't worry the small stuff. Offer her nutritious snacks throughout the day and fix her finger foods at meal time. If the doctors checkups are going well and she is healthy then I am sure you are doing fine. Slack up a bit on the juice/water when it is getting close to meal time, say 30 mint. to an hour beofre. Give her some juice or water after she takes a few bites. Childen are amazing creatures, they will eat enough to sustain and no more at certain points. Her appetite will catch up as she grows. This is common/not unusual with toddlers.
