I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do. I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due. So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees. Mu duty toward god was now done My sould could rest at ease. All day long I had no time, To spend a word of cheer. No time to speak a word of cheer. No time to speak of God to friends, They would laugh at me i would fear. No time, no time, too much to do that was my constant cry. No time to give to souls in need but at last the time the time to die. I went before the Lord, I came, I stood with downcast eyes. For in his hands God held a book; it was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said "Your name I cannot find. I once was going to write it down...But never found the time"...So friends make time for God....

It is easy to make time for God. You pray when you are working, you pray when you are sitting down. You plan to make time for God and then the rest of your life fills into place. So if you do not start the day with God and reading the Bible, that day is practically shot. I also find that I do not have long prayers, I do not go into much eloqution but I am thinking of God all the time, and as long as you think about God, then you will find opportunity to tell others about HIM.

This rhyme has been a challenge to many people over many, many years, and indeed it does have a lesson.
However, there is one thing that needs to be made clear. It will NEVER be a matter of God "once going to write it down, but never found the time".
God will ALWAYS have time for anyone who calls to Him in sincerity and God will ALWAYS act on that person's behalf. Anyone who stands before God and finds their name NOT written in the book, cannot blame God. There is only ONE person to blame - SELF!
