We got a another Stove and Refrigerater, my husand took the old stove refrigerator to this Rycyling place. and got $66.00 for it. I thought that was pretty good. if he did they a couple days a week, he would be doing good, don't you think? They have a lot of recycling place in our neiborhood. You can recycle cans, Paper. all kinds of things, He has a Hauling Service. Everyone have a nice day. what do you recycle?

That is great that he got that for your old stove and refrigerator, I used to recycle but the home we live in does not participate in a Citywide recycling program so I have given up since it is too difficult to recycle and then dispose of the items. I am waiting for them to start up in our neighborhood and I will start again.

We have this place called "cash converters" in Singapore. It is basically a chain of shops that allow you to sell and buy old stuffs. I have popped in to check them out but have never found anything to buy. Old stuffs are not really my cup of tea. :P

I recycle cans at my office and at my school. Every summer my stepdad goes back home to Ohio and sells Ohio sweet corn at his mom's house. We always save up all our grocery bags so he can use them when he sells corn and tomatoes. We try not to use anything disposable either. It's better to wash and reuse. Also at work, we don't throw away paper - we reuse it as scrap if there is nothing on the other side - it's better than buying post its.

We sure do recycle. Every can we can get, from my job and my girlfriend saves hers for me. I had a housefire and am turning them in and putting the money in an account. Wish us luck. We also had to get another furnace and at one point an electric stove so the old ones are going for scrap metal. It does pay and I know of a couple of guys that is about all they do now that they are retired. We also reuse all of our newspaper for the kitty boxes and also the garden to line the paths and then put sawdust (recycled) on the paths to walk. Plastic bags are used again around the house and when I sell things at the flea market. Paper grocery bags are cut up and used to wrap my books for the bookswap site I belong to. We try to live as light as we can while here on this earth.

Yes we do recycle, they have a pick up at the house every other week. and here in NY there is a 5 cent deposit on carbonated beverages so we take those back so we can get our 5 cents back.

We recycle aluminum cans. We crush them down with a can crusher. We save them until we get a few garbage bags full. We do something like a small day trip with he money. There was a time, when we recycled them out of neediness. It wasn't alot, but it did help in a pinch.

They have recycling bins at the store near our house, it is very easy to recycle because of that. We recycle cardboard, glass, plastic and a lot of other things. We recycle cans as well, but we take them to a recycling center to get money for them. We should be taking the cans in now because we have over 50 bags of them and I am sure that would be some good money. Have a nice day. Pablo

Here in the Philippines, we have Junk shop. They buy old newspaper, plastic scraps and bottles, irons, metal parts, cans, bottles and many more. My family and I, separate the different objects. And when we have collected a lot we sell it to the junk shop. It helps lot too with garabage disposa and you earn too. We have also surplus shops here. Where you can trade old or second appliances for new ones or cash. I think to recycle helps a lot of people here and to add the environment too. Have a nice day! (^^,)

I think recycling things pays better in America, my friend in Canada was saying they could get enough for gas money if they saved up cans or bottles, but I don't think we get anything here.
