We did some travelling over the easter break and went for a few rainforest walks. One of the walks led to a beautiful waterfall that just took our breath away. The sheer beauty of nature is amazing. It would take a lot of money to copy what nature gives us for free. Have any of you had an experience like this that makes you so amazed at the majesty of nature?

oh I can't wait.. I am going to Cuba this July to meet my in-laws and there are waterfalls and caves, etc things I have really wanted to see all my life. I know this will sound strange, but I used to live in Florida, so no changing of the seasons EVER. Once while driving through where I live now (northern Illinois) it was Spring/Summer and as far as the eye could see all of these fields were covered with crops of corn & soy beans. Just looking at the fields and feeling the gentle breeze gave me a feeling of how wonderful nature is and how beautiful life & growth are. I told you it was strange...lol

I have seen numerous waterfalls up close. Some were very big waterfalls and some were not quite as big but were still beautiful and enjoyed watching them. The sound of a waterfall is so relaxing and cool and really refreshes a person. Waterfalls are great and wish there were more where I live. That is great that you got to see a waterfall up close. I love nature.

nature can be pretty amazing. Look at the grand canyon. I don't think Niagra Falls is manmade is it? That is pretty amazing also! I love waterfalls. Glad you got to experience some of natures finest!

I went to niagara falls when I was a kid got to see them from below on a boat! It was really cool. And I also went to this mountain site where it has 7 waterfalls. I only got to the sixth waterfall because we were too tired to continue to climb. But we had fun..each waterfall we stand right below them and feel the strong water massage us.

While being 'amazed' by the its 'majesty' i decided to sit cross legged ala those stereotypical meditating monks on t.v, under the rushing falls.. and while i was starting to feel for nirvana, suddenly a floating stick come crashing on my head, luckily i escaped without serious injuries. I guess those things only works on t.v then..

My country prides of very many waterfalls! The sad bit is that the politicians have started tampering with these eye catching natural feature! In Mid-Western Uganda, wehave the Murchison Falls-It is in a section of the river Nile that descends into a stiff cliff! The cliff is so high you would imagine it is about 500 metres above sea-level.It falls in torrents and in a deafening noise, creating a misty atmosphere at the point of the fall but well above the falls itself, there is usually a rainbow curved very vividly whenever there is sunshine! The beauty of this falls is simply beyond description! The most interesting thing about this falls is that it is also located in a National Park-while everything beautiful is happening around the falls, down streams you could be lucky to catch a glimpse of giraffs, the Kobs, the baffalos, the crocodlies and Hippos enjoying the calm waters as they flow away to the mediterranean sea! Yes the Murchison Falls in Uganda is non like any other!

On our first trip to the Bahamas, my boyfriend at that time, now my husband and I took a trip through a natural conservatory which had the most beautiful waterfall. I got some really cool photos of it with one of the islands natural plants in the shot. The waterfall was breathtaking and a wonder to behold.
For our 2nd wedding anniversary, we went to Niagara Falls. Two vastly different type of waterfalls. The first was gently and flowing. The second was loud and volumious. Both magnificient and a natural wonder to behold. The waterfall in the Bahamas holds a more special memory than the 2nd.

I have seen a lot of the beauty of nature. I have seen a Nigara Falls, an awesome waterfall on the USA and Canadian boarder. I have seen a lot of winding trails with greens and waterfalls. I also have seen the Grand Canyon in AZ. USA, miles of the most beautiful crevices, I have seen caverns under ground in Virgina, the red woods in CA, and much more. Nothing that man makes can compair to the natural beauty that God creates.

I know what you mean, the site of a beautiful waterfall, and be a real show stopper. I really enjoy seeing a decent waterfall, but with the drought in Queensland there are not that many to be seen where I live.

yes, i am living in a place where there is a waterfall just a few mins walk from our town. And its so nice to be in this place, hearing the water falls is very refreshing you can feel how beautiful the world is. How much more if you can be in the water which is so refreshing and so cool. Feelings are unexplainable... you don't want to end the day.
