who do you think is NBA's greatest dynasty? is it the celtics with a total of 16 championship banners? the lakers perhaps, jerry west, wilt and mikan time? or the mighty bulls with phil, jordan and pippen as part of it? is it the number of championship that counts or are they other factors involved?

celtics with a total of 16 banners, definitely a team for the ages. however, that was like decades ago.. where is boston now? they didnt even made the playoffs.

we're talking about dynasties here, not the standings of the current season. if we'll try to think of it, the celtics won the most nba titles. they're a history rich team

NBA blogger was simply telling us that the boston are not that successful anymore during the past decade. though the celts are rich in nba history, that doesnt reflect the team that they have today. hehehe..

hmm, you are definitely right there piropos. the bulls were the highlight during the 90s. chicago also made history to win 72 games during the 96 season.. you cant stop that..

i'd pick the early celtics that won 8 straight nba title. they should've made it 9 if not for wilt chamberlain. the celtics dominated the nba during that time. michael jordan and the bulls in the 90's is a close second to me

i think i would have to agree on your top 5s my friend.. as you can see, bulls ranked number one.. dont forget, during the celtics and lakers time, they didnt have not that many rules compared to the years of the Bulls.. hehehe.. scoring seems to be quite easier those years..

I think based on the above, the topic was about dynasty not present records. That's why I believe it was the Celtics record. Any team ever come near that record? Yup, the Celtics are in the bottom heap right now. Where were the Bulls after Jordan et al? More rules now? I think there were no 3 pt. shots when the Celtics lorded it over. So it was harder to earn points then. What I know is that they won 13 championships (correct me if I'm wrong). I never knew they had 8 straight titles! Now, is that easy to do?
