any high lvl rune crafters out there?

i have medium lvl rc (65) and it is one of the most boring skills for me to lvl, are there any mylotters who have higher rc than me that could share some tips to make it a less boring skill?
i only managed to get to lvl 65 because i told my friend that i would beat his rc, to which he laughed and mocked me (yes i beat him by 2 lvls lol).
i hate abyssal rcing because of the pkers, and yes they are a problem for me at lvl 115... they know what i am doing, know i am skulled with no prayer and purposly kill me and gain nothing but ess!
i also hate having to walk to and from altars that are far from banks (like nature altar).
so any ideas to make it a more "fun" skill would be appreciated guys :)

Im 65 Runescaft too. Its a boring skill but its really helpful cause you dont need to buy any runes you just need to mine some ess and make them yourself unless you need like bloods or souls

try to do some other stuff while making them like chatting with friends or looking around on the internet.

i have done a bit of rune crafting with my friend steve, and i must admit it was much less boring just having someone in game to chat to that was doing the same thing as me. i find that using the private chat option in game tends to make rc go a bit slower though, as it involves going into your friends list and back again to your invent alot.
