Before I was telling myself that it will be impossible because I'm a meat eater! Steak is one of my favorite food so how can I?! But everything changed like a month ago, I convinced myself that I can actually do that.. a vegetarian it is! It will take time for a lot of people to become one and that I assure you! But if you are most likely dedicated already then that's awesome! You can easily make it happen if you are being sincere to yourself. Be healthy inside and out!

Hi there edzingers,
dunno what it is all about but I never thought of becoming a vegetarian before - grew up in French countryside, that should give you a clue...
Recently however, I have had a number of strange 'episodes' which have pushed me to question a number of things,
I was watching the 'Great British Menu' on TV the other day and this chef was planning to cook a lobster, so he went and fished one out, was marvelling at how fresh it was (as it was moving about frantically) and then, the next thing you saw was the poor lobster being dumped, alive, into boiling water.
It affected me so much I couldn't stop crying all night! I think I felt the pain of this poor animal... I know it sounds silly, but every time I look at meat in supermarkets etc. I have these pictures in my mind of how poultry is farmed, the stress these poor creature have to go through.
I don't know why I feel this way - I have never been a big animal rights activist before!
So I am a vegetarian, not by choice, but because I just can't bear to be responsible for the treatment received b animals in my name//.

I have friends who are vegetarian also and the mother of my boyfriend is one of them. Whenever I eat meat in front of them they don't feel comfortable while I cut the meat with knife. But I think they feel grossed out about it and just thinking how those animals were alive one day and people just kill them so that we can have food intake. I feel bad also, i love animals and I feel bad also!

Being vegetarian to me then means ditching the meat dishes entirely from your meal in favor of vegetables. I was able to do that, and branded myself a vegetarian. I was wrong. Eventually I learned that vegetarians do not also eat fish, eggs, or any animal derived products. In that case I realized I could not be a strict vegetarian. Most of my favorite food are at least enhanced by animal products. I am happy eating veggies without the meat but I still can't give up my cakes, ice cream, chocolate, fish, eggs, cheese, etc. My body says yes to veganism or vegetarianism but my tastebuds screams Noooo.

We're the same actually! I love ice cream and any other dairy products so it will be really really hard for me to cut it of. But we'll see what's going to happen!

I am for surely cannot become a vegetarian because my tongue is a non-vege tongue. I love to eat meat and chicken a lot. But recently I have tried to change my menu because I keep wanting my shape back. I am not too fat but I hate to see my tummy is being extra when I am wearing any cloth. I keep seeing my tummy and it is not like what I wanted it to be. So what I did was try to eat a vegetables a lot and take some meat and chicken less. I have to use the chicken stock cube pr oyster sauce for the taste of my vegetables or it wouldn't come into my mouth. I finally find that I can eat a vegetables stuff but I need the taste of a chicken or a beef in them.

Just add a little different flavor to it so that you'll enjoy the vegetables. That's what I do so that I can eat more veggies than usual.

I was a vegetarian when I was a teenager. I found it very boring and I was hungry all the time. There are very few vegetables that I eat. There's only about 4 that I will eat all the time. I do love my meat. Besides there are animal products in a lot of our food. It would probably be healthy to be a vegetarian but it is not for me. I like to eat too much.

I wish I was a vegetarian. I have tried a few times but meat keeps luring me back. I love all animals and it makes me sad to think of their plight. Each time I attempt a vegetarian lifestyle I come closer. One of these times I will succeed. I think fruit and vegetables are really important to a healthy diet. I am simply going to phase out meat slowly and painlessly.

all my veggie recipes have meat on them. never in my life have i ever considered turning vegetarian. just the thought of the juiciness of grilled pork is enough to make my mouth water.
i, however, admire the discipline that you vegetarians have. i, for one, can't imagine myself resisting the aroma of roast beef.

I have thought about it, but I am not sure I can do it. I was reading article about it and it said that Scandinavian people should not become vegetarians, because it is bad for their skin and health generaly. What I do is - in Summer time I eat less meat, but in winter time I would be always cold if i don't eat meet.

Yes i did. i was born to a family of meat lovers. from the day i remember myself meat was on the table at every meal, each day. but there was a period of my life that i was sick, and read a certain book, that described how we digest meat in the body, and from the minute i read that i understood that i could solve my sickness by not eating certian things that are not good for my body, and that my body could not handle. so i stopped.
I am 34 years old now, and been a vegetarian for the last fifteen years, i no longer suffer from this sickness i had, and most of the problems were solved when i changed my eating habits. i feel less heavy, and althaugh i love the smell of meat, i do not want to touch that anymore. i do believe that it is an abuse to my body.

I tried the vegetarian meat and the taste is very very different than the usual meat that we eat. I don't like the taste of their meat but vegetables are fine with me!

Why do you hate them? They are just concerned about animals and its good because they don't eat them at all.

I've not only thought about becoming one, I tried it for about a half year too. I wasn't very good as I went back to eating meat, but I think that was because I was still a teenager and couldn't cook much for myself as I still lived with my parents. I still consider it once in a while, but I now live in a country where it's very hard to be a vegetarian so I can't consider it just yet.

I have thought of become a vegetarian because I dont like the way that we threat other animals. We think they dont care but I pretty sure they do. In my opinion the vegetarian food is more healthier than meat. And I dont think that we are ment to realy eat meat.
