One of my cats has allergies, she has trouble breathing and her eyes always water. Now she is pregnant and its making her breathing more labored. Does anyone know of anything I can do. I can't really afford a vet visit right now. Does anyone else have a pet with allergies?

I don't think it should be called as allergy but with regards with my cat I should say that when he eat a food that is not cook afterwards he starts to vomit a lot as if he vomit all the food he ate. That what happens with my cat so since it happen we always cook first the fish before giving him.

this made me cry... i don't like hearing about a sick pet... i also can't afford a vet and i have no idea about allergies of cats... i searched the net and they say that 15% of all cats in the U.S. suffer from one or more allergies, some are airborne or from food and even to antibiotics or anesthesia. flea allergy is the most common, as the cat ages their sensitivity to flea bites increases. so the four known types of allergy are contact, flea, food and inhalant.
when my cats get sick or something, i give them sugar... they say sugar cures pet sickness, that's just what others says but i don't know if it really does work... i think pets can heal themselves... but a vet is a sure way to help a really ill cat... :(
