Bath or Shower?

I always take a shower, and so does my husband, My 5 year old son takes a shower, but my daughter (2 1/2)still likes her baths...
The reason for this topic is because a freind of my husbands recently made a comment about needing a bath (it's a guy). My husband chuckled and said you mean a shower right?. He said no he hated showers, he prefered cleaning up in the tub, with a hot bath. I always just assumed that everyone that has a shower used it instead of soaking in dirty water.
What about you? Bath? or Shower?

I take a shower most of the time. If I take a bath it is usually after I work out or stressed and want to relax for a little bit. After I have relaxed I will shower off with soap and shampoo. When I was a kid bath all the time. Until I realized from working with dirt or the car.Something not very clean in other words. Even hair from your head. Getting out of the bath tub from taking a bath there could be things clinging to your supposedly clean body. Bathing is always a better option than shower to clean ourselves as it works more effictvely.

I love my shower. My hubby and I both have to have a shower first thing in the morning to feel alive. I only have a bath when tired, stressed out or sore muscles. Then I soak and soak until the water turns cold. I always shower off the bath water when I am finished because I agree it is like bathing in your own dirt! I know people who bath the night before and just get up and go in the morning. I simply couldn't stand that and would always feel gungy. So here is to the shower!

I like baths but I hardly ever get to have one. Plus, my house isn't stocked up in bubble bath soup. So I just take hot showers.

I loves to take baths with bubbles and candles. My husband and the kids all take showers cause they are always in a hurry. Occasionally, my husband will soak in a hot tub of bubbles to relax the muscles in his back. He has discovered my candles. So he turns the lights off and lights the candles. He has learned that this is a real good way to relax the body and the mind. I know he needs to de-stress as much as me so I don't disturb him. In the shower, he uses the pulsating setting on his back. Please understand, he broke his back several years ago and had surgery so taking good care of his back now is essential.

i take showers not baths. baths for me seem to be a lot of water wasted. i have tried plugging the drain with something and then taking a shower as usual and i find that i dont use as much water as when i take a bath. but i must admit that baths are very relaxing.

I like the occasional bath but I generally shower. My son is 8 and he showers except sometimes he wants a bath. My daughter is 1 1/2 and she still takes a bath. Sometimes she takes a shower with me if we are getting home late and it's past her bedtime, we will just jump in the shower and get done quick. She seems to like the shower but she enjoys her baths too.

I have a very nice bath tub at home, though I mostly go for showers for 2 reasons. First time, and second showers generally make me feel more dynamic compared to baths. Taking a bath for me is like offering myself a treat. I take baths on weekends, generally I put on some soft music and light up some candles before getting in the bath, then stay there for 20 to 30 minutes. My showers, rarely exceed 5 minutes.

I do both. I prefer a bath when shaving because I feel its harder in the shower. But for quickness I like the shower. It just depends on what kind of time I have and the shaving issue too!

I prefer to take a shower myself. If I take a bath it's to relax in and then afterwards I'll take a quick shower to clean up. Now my mother all she takes are baths and never a shower. Personally I can't do that. I just don't feel clean after soakign in the water like that because the water isn't that clean after I've been in it.

While my daughter still likes her bath (she is 10 and still likes to play in the tub) in reality showers are much healthy for you. They are less drying to your skin and there is no chance of bacterial growth (i was told that baths are horrible for women that are prone to bladder infections!!)
Showers for me, no time to luxuriate in the tub...i am much too busy!!

Both.
I love soaking in a hot bath, always rinse with a shower afterwards. Nothing wrong with having baths.
Showers are nice and quick when needed.
My almost 3 year old loves his baths, but absolutely hates the shower. He doesnt like the splashing water.
Each to their own. Is it really soaking in dirty water nowadays where most wash several times a day?
