Personally yes, I love my home and would rather be there than any other place in the world. Well besides vacation/trip somewhere. But it's alway's nice to get home and sleep in your own bed. And be around all of your stuff.

When we moved here, I thought I finally found paradise for me. But when I went to WI over Easter weekend and we had dinner at her sis-in-law's house, I was truly in heaven. It was an 18th century house sitting on just under 5 acres. They had horses and chickens. I love old houses as well as horses and didn't want to come home at all. I would love to buy an old house with all the original woodwork and such on at least 5 acres. This house was all original down to the woodburning stove they still used to this day. Got to ride a horse as well. If I can't have an old house, then I would want to build a true log cabin from the plans I bought 20yrs ago. It's a 2 bedroom with a loft, central wood-burning f/p with a cookstove and water heater hooked up to it. The optional basement has a root celler as well. Has a wraparound covered porch as well.

I give anything to have a back porch. My house is the only one I've ever owned and even though it's in the city, I still love everything because it's mine. I can have my flowers and garden and when I curl up at night I can count on two things my husband on one side and my cat on the other side.
