If you are using Windows XP as your Browser, chances are you have already started receiving messages from your Windows System informing you of the new IE7. I am using Windows XP, and with this good news I downloaded and tried it myself. Since December I have been experiencing problems with it. A good example is whenever I'm trying to preview the pages I'm about to print, I can only see the first page and the other page is not responding. Plus the page freezes often times, and it made my computer slower. Can anyone tell me Is it compatible with Windows XP? Thanks!!

It's completely compatible with windows xp, but to be honest, it crashes a lot. I just switched to FireFox browser and I like it much better. It's more secure and you can customize it a lot more with addons.

Thank you! I feel much better now, I'll just stick with IE6 or FireFox.

Yeah, it's XP compatible. Myself never had any problems with it, but I think you are better off with some other browser like Opera or Firefox.

I have been using IE7 with XP since last summer it was still in the beta phase. it works just great with no problems for me. the pages might seem slower due to the phishing filter which is a good thing.

I was also using it during the beta phase and I actually liked it. It is definitely compatible with Windows XP. I love the tabs and actually found it very easy to use. Recently, though, I have begun to use a program that makes IE run a little slower and harder to type long messages. So, I use Firefox when I am here on Mylot and other forum sites. I don't know why your computer freezes when you use it. I know when I was using older computers, I had more problems. But, I wasn't using XP and IE7 at that time.

My operating system is Windows XP and I have IE7. Yes, IE7 is compatible with Windows XP, but I do not use it. I use Firefox. Firefox loads way faster than IE7, and IE7 uses more memory, hence making your computer run slow if your pc does not have much memory.

Yes, IE7 is compatible with Windows XP. I have installed it and I really like it. I haven't had any problems with it. I love the tabs that are available. Maybe the problem that you are experiencing is from something else. Good luck with it.
