Lately many criminalism using sms / text msg, which told you that you win prize from X company (usually big companies which you know well the reputation), and you should call the person who sent you text msg to confirm your prize. And after you called the person, he will ask you if you want to take the prize, you must pay for the tax/administration fee by bank transfer account. And sometimes they even can know your account bank number after that and the next day you will see that your money are gone in the account. Even this seemed suspicious, many people got cheated by this way, I don't know why. I've got some those text msgs before, and I always iqnore it, and never try to called the person who sent it to me (I don't know where from they get my number). In my country, it become serious criminal problem and although nowadays those kind text msg are less than before, but still one or two persons doing that. Have you also got those kind of text msg? And what is your reaction?

Yes, I recieved a couple of those messages. I am easily suspicious because the one who sent an SMS is using just a regular number rather than one of the special 4 digit ones which is the on usually used by companies when they do launch some contests. I usually just ignore and tell some close friends and family to be careful of the scam. :)

i've worked from one of the network providers in the Phils and we received 5% of daily callers complaining about hook texters.the company provided a speil to deliver that we are not liable to any of those.the client receive a text saying they won a prize like a brand new car, trip to a certain place etc.the msg also contains the name of the texter and a contact #,they will the person an instruction on how to claim the prize, they starts with they have to send 10 pcs of prepaid card load etc.which sometimes happens really!those are the stupid ones!i pitty them sometimes.sometimes the hook texter put a title on their names so the receiver will of course get amaze.but please be reminded that whatever text message like that you receive if the sender is just a mobile # just ignore it.make sure that the msg was came from your provider.
