I bought 2 baby turtle 2 years ago and put them in my big pond. 1 of them somehow gone away and only one left. I has grown to about 10 times its original size. I belive that these turtle eat plants but lately i discover my turtle also eat small fishes. He also like to sun bathing. I can never catch him again nowday, he eats my fish food, so he'll be surfing on the surface when i give food to my fishes

I used to have two pet box turtles that my neighbour no longer wanted and she passed them on to me. They were about thirty years old and should have lived a very long time. I went away for two weeks and left them with my mom and she couldn't manage to keep them alive for that short of time.

I dont have a turtle pet, but my uncle has..a very big, huge turtle, they fed it with small fish, they once return the turtle to the ocean but the turtle return to my uncles place (his place is near the shoreline), so they keep it and took care of it. Even the Department of Fisheries went there to see the turtle and threatened my uncle for acquiring endangered species, but my uncle assured them he will protect the poor turtle.
My kids aged 6 and 2 likes to play with the turtle everytime we go to my uncles place. Turtles are so kind.
thanks.

Elephant? as a pet?...it would be hard for me, I like to see elephant in the movies or in the zoo, but taking it on my house and treat like a pet, it would be impossible for me,the elephant is much bigger than my sofa bed (lol, joke only) but if i am living in the forest or jungle, I would love/appreciate to have elephant friend, because they are loyal and protects his/her master or mistress, just like what i've seen in tarzan movies, but anyways, turtles are preferable especially if your place is near the shoreline.
Thanks for making me best response.

I used to have 6 of them. But in two groups. They are called green turtles. It's not hard to care for them. They're cute especially when they are on top of each other. There was this time that a mice fell into my turtles' cage, of course the mice might be drowned so the mice used my turtles as a stepping stone. I took a picture of them, haha.

Hello collstarx,
I got two malayan box turtles when I am still in elementary. These turtles are named Mike & Mindy but after several years later when our place was flooded. The turtles managed to escape. Only this 2005 that I bought several turtles -red eared sliders but only three survived. Their names are Amanda, Stardust, and Comet. I bought them with their size not bigger than 1" diameter. Now, Amanda is the bigest with a CPL of 9", Stardust with CPL of 8" and Comet just 4". I also have 4 Malayan box turtles named Itsy Minny, Minnie, Moe but we decided to donate them to the nearest zoo. We were able to get 1 year free entrace fee for my family for our donation. Turtles are very amusing animals. They provide me of hours of entertainment just seeing them do their tactics. More power, Ferritic.
