Do you own bathroom scales?

When I was a teen I decided that scales were bad. I thought that it was best to lose weight when you felt fat not when the scale said you were fat. I'm in my 40's now and when I stood on a scale for the first time in eons I was disgusted. I knew I needed to lose a few pounds, but wow! So now my question is do you have scales? Are you obsessed with the number on the dial? What type of scales do you have?

I have a scale that I have been to avoiding. I put it up in our attic so to get it out of the way. I just did not want to be reminded of the pregnancy weight that I had gained. It is just better off that I don't know the extent of the weight gain cause I would probably just start crying. I know you can tell by what you body looks like but putting actual numbers to it is just scary.

I have a bathroom scale but I do not trust its accuracy. I have three small children and it is way too temping for them to turn the little dial or stomp on it to watch the dial spin around. I weigh myself a couple of times a week at the gym on their digital scale. I am not obsessed with the number I see though because so many things can make that fluctuate. Water, muscle mass and time of day can change that number. It is better to go by how you feel and just use a scale once in a while.

I have always had a weighing scale in my bathroom and not because I am obssesed with weight but because when I realize I put up a few pounds they are not so few... However, the scale is precise and tells me everyday is I need to start being careful; it is easier to get rid of couple of pounds...

I just recently bought bathroom scales (glass digital, really nice! lol) in order to try and keep tabs on my weight a bit more than I have in several years. I'd decided that for the longest time that scales were bad too, but I've recently reevaluated and got some bathroom scales. I'm not completely obsessed with the number it shows, especially since I started eating healthier and exercising. I know that being healthy is more than just a number on the scale. I mean, last week I worked hard at exercising and eating right and didn't drop a single pound. However, I've been also taking some measurements (waist, etc) each week and in a week I lost two inches from my waist. OK, now that I've started sounding like a weight loss commercial, I'll move on... lol.
