Strangeness with my cable?

The weirdest thing happened to me today. First off let me explain that I do not live in a huge city. With a little over 100,000 people here it is somewhat of a smaller city.
Now, I'm sitting here typing away on MyLot and all of a sudden the cable goes out. Next thing you know, it comes back on with the letters NBITV across the left side, middle eastern music playing and what looked to be arabic writing. It lasted about 2 minutes tops and then boom.. went back to regular channels, but while it was on I couldn't move a single channel or do anything on the tv itself.
It was just so strange I had to share! Any clues what the heck it was? LOL Anyone else ever have this happen?

That does seem weird. I have never seen such a thing. I think it would sure make me wonder what was going on.

I have never had that happen with those type of letters.
but I do have it happen when a emergency broadcast thing comes on. A lot of times its just that test that comes through, but sometimes is the child abuduction thing. Then you can't turn the channels or do anything until its done.

that is weird what happened to you. i would call the cable company and maybe they can let you know what happened. i have cable and if something like that happened i would definately call and see if they know what happened to the cable for that short period of time.

hem ...I haven't had that type of problem but out cable and internet was out since last night and just came back on tonight ...no tv or comoputer what is a person to do ...lol .
But getting abck to what happened to you ... man that is actually scaty ..makes you think that n=maybe the cable company was hijacked or somehting by terriots ...man this type of things realy get to me quick ...after 911 i jst can't quite keep my fears at reast ..a simple little thing like this just really makes me wonder what is going on and does the military really allow us to jnow everything that is happeneong ??? just too many strange things that make me wonder ...or manybe it was too many sci-fi movies about aliean taking ove rthe earth ...but here it is terrorists ...don't like to think about that ...but one day we might be faced with it ... :(

Well at least I know others think it's scary too! I swear it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I honestly have no clue what it was and to be honest haven't even called cable company to ask as they may send men in little white coats to get me or something?

odd..
if it were satellite,i'd say maybe the signals crossed,but..
i'd never seen anything like that.
usually when my cable acts up,it just goes down entirely.

I love it. 100,000 people is a small city? Where I live we have about 5,000 here when the university is running full force. Where I was before, we had 1,000 during the summer tourist season.
Anyway, I have never heard of anything like this. Sounds almost scary.

That is very weird! I would be calling the cable company and see what explantion they would give! And if you do, please let us know what they say. I'm a paranoid freak so I probably would of ran from the house screaming..lol...Just Kiddin! Let us know what you find out! Take care~ Stay away from the tv! :-)

Wow! That would have scared me I would immediatley think terrorists had taken over the TV station! Let us know in an update if you find out what it was!
