Hi everyone. I was wondering how this works? I have depression, anxiety, and Fibromyalgia. I could certainly use some healing. I have had people do distance reiki on me, but not sure it really worked? How is this done, and is there anyone willing to help me out? I really need to find someone in my area. I was told a long time ago I should check out reiki. I have tried acupunture before, and massages. It helped my anxiety and stress a lot, but not sure about the pain. Thanks in advance. I have always wanted to learn more about holistic practices. Greets Tree

One has to become aware about her/ himself regarding openings towards the energy flow for healing! If you are not open then nothing could be work for you! If you are open but not ready to allow the ailment goes forever then also after certain recovy you unknowingly invites the ailment automatically! So what you are telling here must be considered in this regards and become more open to the energy flow so that you can get a steady healing and it will work thoroughlly...!

Yes, this is very true. You may have som subconscious to the illness. And you can use Reiki to get rid of the attachment, but you won't be healed until you do. You can also use Emotional Freedom Technique, Past life regression, and hypnosis, as well as other things to get rid of it.

More than anything its your faith in reiki that would help you. faith is the key to overcome all the other problems you face. once you find faith in any form of heealing process you will be cured. I would suggest try meditatin that would help you focus and First thing reiki master would want you to do is put your hands on various parts of yur body for three minutes starting from your forhead and goign towards your feeet before healing you and performing reiki. I learned rieki but I feel its another form of meditation that concentratesd on focusing on parts of your body and visualising them as healthy. That is my explanation but to each to his own. Try doing that and may eb you can find a cure for yourself, its inside you you just have to reach for it.

don't get me wrong but do you not believe in masters and their powers , do you not believe in symbols and their powers and moreover before doing reiki healing do you not thank your masters. Why do some people practice a thing and others think its useless -because its the belief that their is a higher power behind everything but thats entirely a new debate.

This is not true. You don't need to have faith or any kind of belief in Reiki for it to work. I know; I'm a Reiki Master Teacher.

I haven't tried distance healing myself , but I will share with you the little that I know about it.Reiki is believed to energize you by taking out the negative energy from your body and replacing it with positive energy. You need to have faith in the person for it to work. Once when I was conversing to a reiki instructer he asked for my photo and explained that he will need that for the energy transfer, whereby he will transfer his positive energy and take my negative energy.Well,I am not sure if it's more psychological or biological in nature.I know that thoughts could be transferred through brain waves once you learn to connect to your inner self.I feel,if distance healing works, then it must have to do with that science.

Again, untrue. Though some Reiki practitioners do require a photo, name, location, and more specifics, they're in no way necessary. Reiki works just by intent. You don't need to know the person to send Reiki. I could just say, "I want to send Reiki to___ (your username) for ___" and it will work. Reiki transcends time and space, and goes where it is needed most.

Distance Reiki always, always works. It just works on a deep level first, because it's needed there the most. It could take many many treatments before you notice a difference. But maybe when you look back on the time between treatments, you'll notice small changes you didn't notice at the time. That's Reiki working. If you want free distance treatments as often as you want, send me a message, and I'll do them. You can also join the Reiki_On group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Reiki_On You can get free treatments there and even learn Reiki if you want, all free.

Im curved at the spine and I was wondering that maybe that electro magnetic therapy might help me? I do not know about reiki but I wish I did so I could heal myself cause Im tired of tis pain and walking sideways bent over. I guess its all in the fact if you believe enough in reiki or anything else it can cure you. But Im such a skeptic.

I don't know too much about magnetic therapy. However, one of my practioners from the past, put a magnet on my back with tape, and told me to keep it on for a day or 2. Not sure if it did anything. I really have no idea! I'm sure there are other ways of this healing. I would say, just try stuff out and see what happens. Have you tried seeing a chiropractor? That's also something I would like to look into. Just finances are getting in the way right now. My husband also has a curved spine. He has to wear a brace when he was a kid, so his posture is really bad. Greets!

Ok, it`s possible to make distance healing when the Reiki practioner works with the picture of the person. The phone contact is also usefull. You can ask your Reiki healers to settle the seance at certain time when you are at home and you can relax, to be in touch. You can use affirmations when they treat you from distance :-)

There is no cure for fibromyalgia. You can manage it by pacing yourself and knowing your limitations, as well as using some alternative therapies. What I have found, however, is that alternative therapies also have side effects - like Bowen Therapy, and Sacro Cranial Therapy. I got more bad out of them than good. I think massage therapy is the best to help loosen up the muscles but to get the best benefit you need to go every two weeks or so. My insurance only pays $300 a year so I only go when I am in desperate need of a massage. I know a lot of people believe in these holistic practices as well as their natural remedies they dole out, but I think it is a big money grabber. I walk an hour a day, five days a week, I know my limitations and try not to get stressed over the things that go on in life (I'm not having a good fibro time right now!). I had tennis elbow in my right arm two years ago. We tried ultra sound, moved on to electro-magnetic therapy as long as stretching and massaging the muscles. The insurance ran out and I had to stop. The elbow got better eventually. I got tennis elbow in my left arm last year. This time we started with the electro-magnetic therapy, then added laser treatment along with it. I did some stretching exercises and then some acupuncuture. I was nearing the end of my insurance coverage and asked about ultra sound. So we did a few ultra sound treatments and then I had to stop. That was a couple of months ago. I had some pretty sore arms days but right now it is almost completely better. So, did the treatments help eventually? Who knows? Maybe the arm would have gotten better on its own. I would probably go back for the treatments again as long as the insurance covers it, but I would not throw my money away on something that may or may not work. Hope I've helped some.

Yep. I have to pace myself as well. I know what you mean. Message therapy would help, I know. But of course it's the money that always gets in the way. I could get insurance that covers it, but then the monthly bill will be more. Hopefully in the future I can look into this. Greets and thanks for your response!

There may be no medical cure for your illness. But you can cure anything and everything naturally and/or with energy healing. The key is persistence. It is working on some level, even if you don't notice it physically. Because the causes of disease are most often mental and emotional, they manifest as physical problems last. Unfortunately, the physical problems are always the last to go too, because healing treats the root cause first. Then the physical level is treated.

The way distance healing works is simple. Reiki can transcend time and space. So you can be in one part of the country, or state, or even across a room and reiki can be sent to you simply by someone intending for you to recieve the healing energy. Reiki is a life force, it simply sends energy to the area's that need it most. An in person session should be relaxing enough, as you are kept in a nice relaxing, dimly lit room. Some may feel warm and relaxed and as if they are surrounded by a warm, radiant glow. Those that recieve distance healing, may know when they are recieving the treatment and choose to relax themselves for the duration of the treatment and find they also feel warm, relaxed and well. It really depends on the person. If you look online, you can find several places that will send free reiki energy to you, or anyone you place on a list.

I don't have depression but I'm an overcoming panic disorder with agoraphobia..since you list anxiety, I you will know what I'm talking about..I say overcoming as I don't plan to have this condition forever..there's just too many things I want to do in life...I've heard of distance healing and like you I don't know if it worked successfully. You say acupuncture helped with the anxiety...some say even hypnosis is good too..
