"Crying Baby" Warning/Women Should Read

I am not sure if anyone else has heard this but I thought I should pass this info along that a friend sent to me in an email warning all people especially women not to open the door if you hear a crying baby. The story stated that a woman called the local police to report that she heard a baby crying near a window and was worried it would crawl into the street, the dispatcher replies "whatever you do do not open the door, there is a unit on the way." When the officer arrived he told the woman that they suspect that a serial killer has been using a tape of a baby crying to try to get women who are home alone to come outside. The police had not verified it but had several similar calls for women when they were home alone at night. At first I though this was some kinda urban legend, but apparently America's Most Wanted mentioned the "Crying Baby Theory" this Saturday while profiling a serial killer in Louisiana.
