Banks are in Business to make Money...That's the Bottom line.
Yes they have things in place for the poor , but it certainly isn't to help the poor. It's to help the already rich & greedy .
Example...in America there is the term..." predatory - lending " where Banks , or Credit Card companies ( In particular ) lure in the less- fortunate and
( for all intense purposes ) pressure people into making hasty decisions.
Granted...these individuals are responsible , for knowing what contracts they're signing ; however , in many cases...the wording ( in the contract ) is so complicated...people some times over look this fact and commit to the contract anyway. Then of course there is my personal favorite...Sub-prime Mortgages ,
which is Basically predatory-lending , except that it is directly related to losing your home , as well as your good Credit-rating.
In short...there is no one helping the poor in America. Look at all of the people , and their living conditions in Louisiana ( still ) almost 2 yrs. After Hurricane Katrina Hit. The Big Corporations , and Banks do not Care about the poor.
