I graduated and earned a degree in Computer Engineering. Although I'm overqualified to the job I have right now but at least I have put to use what I've learned in college so it was not at all wasted. Because the job was too easy for me like abc, I was bored easily until I completely become disintered in my course. There's not much opportunity for my course here and even If I found one, I'm not compensated the same with my job so I rather stick to it even if it kills me.

i'm a computer science major and lucky for me i landed a job that is connected to my course. my first job was in a bank, i did not quickly land a job in the IT industry. however, my banking stint has paid off. because i'm involve on a project with financial applications and doing some customize programming.

Me neither. Most of job I got has really nothing to do with my degree. But for me finishing study is very important. You'll never know how handy your diploma can be or your future. Anyway, I'm kinda open and want to learn and find new things. So, I just grabbed job opportunities that I found it interested along the way, because sometimes you just got an offer once in a life time. And so far, I haven't regret any single of it. It even made my CV more interesting and more flexible. I can say to people....been there, done that.

I worked even before I graduated and the Dean of College where I graduted asked me to teach in college after I graduate even if I'm not finished with my studies yet. So, my first real job as a gradute was being a College Instructor. Yup, I guess teaching Computer Engineering students is connected to my course (i'm a Computer Engineering graduate). And I started working 16 days after graduation! No rest! Now, I'm a Software Engineer, still connected to my course, I don't think I wanna deviate from my course anyway. But if I won't have any choice at all, I'll be grabbing any job as long as it's not hurting other people.

i haven't graduated yet. i took up computer engineering. i'm currently working in a call center. and if and when i graduate it would be easy for me to get a job in line with my course. i would just move to the i.t. department here and viola! i'll be able to use what i've learned in college. i'm most of the time surprised by officemates who graduated from courses that are really far off not related to what we do. but i guess, that's life..

wow.. you're also in a call center industry daryljane? i, as well landed in the call center industry because my friend refer me there. i'm an undergrad of mapua, and i'm an industrial engineering student. i think it's still connected because there is a QA position in the company that i'm working for. i want to apply for that position in the future. we have Quality control subject back in college so i think it's still connected somehow.

Good for you. Nowadays, its not improtant that you get jobs in line with your course you graduated. But the important thing was that you have a job.you have a earnings every month. AS long as it pays better then there will be no regrets. Yes I get the job that is connected to my course. This is my first job and Im so lucky for I have a job one month after graduation. I thank God for this job. Though the salary is not high, but still Im thankful for I have a monthly earnings which is better than I dont have earnings.
