Chrono Trigger seems to have received much love from a wide audience in and out of Japan. Although it was indeed a Super Famicon/ Super Nintendo title, it is still heralded as one of the greatest gaming masterpieces. Created by the "dream team", this game truly was everything it is said to be. It started what is now a gaming cliche, time travel, as well as the option to have multiple endings. Chrono Trigger was, in fact, a groundbreaking game. Whether you appreciate a game's story, sound, game play, or graphics, this game was an achievement. The epic story conveyed in this game was at points mind boggling and just magnificent. It left me breathless and at the edge of my seat at points. Some of these things you get only from action games, but since when does the story really get to you emotionally? The sound can easily surpass many early N64 or PS1 titles. The tic of the clock and the theme of game is easily recognized by fans of this game. Graphics cannot make a negative point in this game. From anime portraits to wonderfully colored sprites, these graphics were amazing in its era of gaming. Maybe this game is not the best because its age does show, no matter what you do. However, despite graphical and audio advancements now, this game still stands among the top of the pack, matched only by the few other truly epic adventures.
