What is the difference between "like" and "love"

I think like is a shallow feeling. It means if the person breaks up with you, it will not matter so much to you, you can do without him. Unlike in love a deeper feeling you get so hurt when it is taken away from you.

As per as I think.. "like" is the start of "love". A person starts liking you, then if finds everything right, he/she starts loving you. U can use the word like to a friend also. But love can be used for that significant one only.The word "like" may not all time transform into "love".Hope I have answered quite clearly.

I am a young girl too,and I am looking for my ture love all the time.I have a boyfriend now,he always make me very happy.when we are together bothof us are very happy.We often laugh a lot whenever talk fact to face or on the telephone.I am very glad to be with a boy who always makesme laugh and happy.I think I like him.But I really don't know if it the love that we mean.

Hi girl... we oftentimes mixed up the two. but you know... you would definitely know its love... when you finally meet the ONE for you. you can tell the difference yourself. oftentimes when we meet a boy.... we already conclude that we love him... because we are in search of someone... confusing our self that... i love this guy... but you know in your heart that what you feel is just shallow... just liking him.. then we would presure our self to love him... even though we know... he is not yet the one. i can only suggest for you to pray for the one who is right for you. so as to refrain you from heartaches and disappointments. because i already met my one true love. The difference from like and love is. Liking someone is just admiring him with his good qualities that you have seen with him. That you always smile whenever you see him, talk with him. But love is a different thing, loving someone is an inspiration. You always think of him worries too much about him. Sad whenever you haven't seen him. Does anything for him. Oops doing everything but knows when and where to end it up in other words know your limitations.

Love is tender, passionate affection for another persion. A feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for parent, child or friend.

In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster. But in front of the person you like, you get happy. In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring. But in front of the person you like, winter is just beautiful winter. If you look into the eyes of the one you love,you blush. But if you look into the eyes of the one you like,you smile.

Like or love? I also have had my share of relationships. From east coast to west coast, we are all looking for that someone. When you find that person and all you can think about is him or her. What they are doing? What they are going to do? When you never get tired of being around them. When you want to spend all your time with. If you can find that one person. The one you would give life or give up life for. That has to be love.

I think the difference is in the seriousness. When you just "like" someone, he or she is still forgettable. You can move on with your life without that person and it won't matter so much. When you already "love" someone, you start making plans for the future with that person. You want to spend the rest of your life with that person. You start thinking about marriage. You feel like you cannot live without that person.

Love and Like are different, but i say love arises from like. You can like any thing but you cant love it since you like that. Let me state it like this. We start liking any thing , person , object may be just because that attracts your attention. You may like it more and more and get obsessed with that soon and thats where this love arise. Love is a feeling of oneness and caring.

Love is the opposite of hate, while like is the opposite of dislike.hehehe. In real context, the meaning of love is always variable love has multiple meaning, like Love is blind, Love is me, Love is God and in if you use logic between love is blind and love is God, God is blind. Kidding aside, love is the deeper meaning of like. YOu begin to love a person by liking him but when you like a person that doesn't mean you already love him. Its a bit crazy to deifne like and love. I would have to say that when you like somone it is only an infatuation but when you love someone you really care for that person.

Erm.. your situation now is about like and love. You must know the mean of like. Like mean you like something such as flower or people. For example you said you like a handsome guys. You only like him. Its mean you like himself. About his body, his attitide or whatever about him. But if you said about love it is the different word. Love mean you you can feel lonely if something do you loved is missing. Love also about your felling and heart. So, be carefully with this two different word.

like : we just have what feel good for us for somebody love : we accept with no purpose and we have to make averything better for someone we love

Well,of course,like differs from love.You can like many people,like fans like their stars.But you should love only one person,well, of course some people have more than one lovers at the same time.But in most cases,we have only one lover at a certain period of time. If a man like a woman,they may develop into love at the end.And when you say you like someone,sometimes you mean you think he or she is great in only some parts.But if you say you love someone.You want to live with him in the rest of your life.

when you see someone and just you like him at the first sight is not love.Love actually develops when understand the guy fully thats is you should know about his charc,etc.

I think somewhat like: When you like someone you like a few qualities of that person not all of them.you may feel unconcerned about those qualities of that person when you meet him or when you know him well. but when you love someone you love every quality of that person.you love him from heel to head.you don't ignore any quality of that person because you think he/she is not different from you.
