Are the following familiar to you? check them out:1. Thats a silly topic, how did it get to generate 100 respondents? 2. My topic was sensible enough for me, why im not getting the much needed reactions? 3. Wow! this is cool people are interested to my discussion, i didnt anticipate that. 4. Aha! This will surely a be topic of all topics, i cant wait to share it with my friends in real life & most especially here at MyLot. 5. Huh? this is crazy, no one seem to notice this discussion, i did'nt too, but after all those weeks of responses drought it just took off? 6. Ok, i'll just have to follow this formula & everything will be as expected, so far so good. 7. Oh, i've got to do something here - i will find a way my topic will be responded well. 8. Did i described my topic as descriptively as possible for everyone to understand? 9. It was just because i mispelled somewords, thats why less responded to it. ... & perhaps many more. At times we are bothered or feel wary thinking what captures the imagination of respondents. Then we see some myLotters here just harvests respondents like its the most natural & easiest thing, no sweat. is it? Whats the story behind each discussion being processed?

OMG! This is interesting. Your best bet should be to use a catchy caption or topic and make your discription strainght to the point and not too lenghty cos not every one has the patience to read through the whole lot and reply. Some discussions will always receive for responses no matter what you think and besides those who posted them may not have wondered in the slightest imagination that such a large number of persons will respond to their posts. So there's no room for envy, dear. thanks.

Well, we all have the same kind of questions and observations? But I nver envy the others who got a lot of responses. it so happen that the topic you started had touched their interest or maybe they had the same experience so thay feel the need to share the experience. I was really amazed with some of mylotters that they only post their topic is one sentence or one question which is usually a very silly question, and yet they get their points. They are not after a quality post but for the sake of earning more points. They don't care either whether they will be criticized as long as their topic will gain point. It is their strategy. They do not care too whether their topic will be responded or not. I'm sorry but that is my observation.

I feel the same, but i try to be as descriptive as i can be to discussions i start. That alone for me signifies respect to whomever would give me the chance to be responded.

I am envious of all the ones that just seem to eat up with responses. Whats the deal with that? Some of those topics arent even interesting. I seen a qustion "what color is your toothbrush?" It got a couple hundred responses. Then some that you would think would interest people dont seem to get any. Im sure it has alot to do with your friends list. If you have a few good people on there, they will respond & keep your topic alive. but I know alot of people on here never even look at topics there friends started. I think one of the big keys is to have a qustion that isnt to contriversial, easy to answer & have good friends here.

I have never figured out a true formula for getting lots of responses. I too, have thought of many of your "excuses". I have to come to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter. I just try to come up with interesting discussions, and lots of well thought out responses. I reply to PM's, and I load photos every now & then.

Thanks, this warms my heart. Sometimes i just cant help myself but feel so lowly here, i guess i just have to anchor well my patience & persistence. That if i play race, then i loose already before i even set myself off. Thanks again.

Surprise Wallpaper - Surprises are good and would make us feel very happy and special..
Actually I don't feel jealous with other people's discussion that are having so many response from other people. But it would make me wonder how they did that, how come many responded to it. It would make me assess of my discussion if it's interesting enough to be noticed by other users. One factor of having lots of respondents are also having lots of friends also.. :)

Yep, having friends here seems to be far more beneficial than having referrals to that effect. People are also wary, i guess to be one most especially if such is motivated by money - how funny we are, even cents would either do wonders or misery.

Yes, I get so jealous that I flog myself for thirty minutes or until I smell the iron of my own blood. It's terrible, actually.

No, I can't really say that I am truly envious. Maybe I would be frustrated for a brief amount of time, but that is all. I posted my discussion that I am mad about it, but in reality I am not. If I really want to, I can fairly easily generate 100's of responses to my discussions. However, I am not willing to do that at this point in time because that requires adding friends that I don't know or like N extra time to truly acquire friends. Acquiring the friends in turn will give me more responses in itself, and they will keep the discussion going.

I agree with you lone. But know what? Based from my observation, topics easier to respond to and are answerable by a yes or no tend to get more replies. I think majority of these people doesnt really care either the topic is senseble enough or just for the sake of being able to reply. And for the Topic Starters, I think they've pulled of a pretty good trick to lure people into putting up replies to their Discussions. Lone bro, you oughta take a new course of action and start making unsenseble Topics. Hahaha! As for me, I'll just be hanging around here looking for some Discussions im interested in.

First of all, I congratulate you for being so analytical. It is possible to go through some, or all, of the categorised reactions here, as we strive through the mylot discussions. I am not much for money, but happy for what little I am able to earn here. I really love that there are a few friends who keep responding to me. I haven't made many friends here, but all the friends I have so far are simply great, and they contribute twoards quality discussions. I guess a discussion with a lot of responses will bring me more money, but it becomes difficult to pay any attention to them once they exceed 20 or 25. By the way, I am writing this response in a happy mood, as this is going to be my 100th response! Regards :)
