Harry's eyes / myLot

Does anybody have any idea what the significance of Harry's eyes is? At least once in every book someone has said that Harry looks like his father except for his eyes, he has his mother's eyes. I read in an interview with J.K. Rowling that there was some significance about Harry's mother and his eyes. Does anyone have any clue what that may be or how it will be used in the last book?

i think its just to show he has both his parents personalities in him maybe even power from his mothers sacrifice

I don't think anyone really knows what the significant of his eyes are. I think that this subject will really be covered in the last book, as up until now, all we really know, are theories. I think the last book will tie up all the lose ends.
