Do You wish that you could meet the people from MyLot?

I haven't been here that long, but already I have to admit I've have met some wonderful folks here, as I'm sure you have...did you ever wish you could meet some of those people that you've had connections with..I know I do..if you look at my friends list I'd love to meet everyone of you folks..to bad there's not a MyLot convention thing..like they have for people who are Star Trekkers, or fans of Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings...Hey that's an idea...no?? A MyLot convention!! LOL

OH MY!! I'm up for it. Like you there are a few people that I would like to met in person. I feel connected to some of the lovely friends here on mylot.
They have a Lord of the Rings conventions? I hadn't heard of those before.

Oh yeah...I don't think they have as many LOTR conventions now...but I heard that the ones sponsored by the one-ring.net held them..and a lot of folks would dress up as their fave characters...Oops just check over--it seems there was one during March--can look up the details at

Nuts still got it wrong...lOL--this is the one time I wish we could do a copy/paste cause trying to type out links drives me daft...but just do a search for Lord Of The Rings Conventions--wonder if there are some for Chronicles of Narnia fans too????

I would love to go!!! I think it would be great to meet some people that I have met here in person...and mind you, in a safe environment.
Even though I feel that I would be safe with the people that I have connected with...one can not be too careful when it comes to ways of the internet.
But yes, I would love to meet some people face to face that I have met here online.

OK, I get that most would want it close to them.
How about this...just plan it during the summer time. Then the kids are out of school and I might be able to steal a few days away. :)

Try to organize something close to home to you--LOL--mmm..that might be the consensus of most..wanting a convention near them...most of the Lord Of The Rings conventions for instance are usually in LA Calif....

That is definately a novel idea, and it would be really cool. There are many I would like to meet for real. But I am also aware that it is sometimes the very insubstantiveness that makes places like mylot enjoyable. How well our online relationships stand up to reality is fun to dream about, but might not be practical for real life.

yeah! i sure do wish to meet a couple of friends here in myLot, but being in different countries all over the world, that would be close to impossible to meet everyone. but it would still be cool to meet myLotters here in our area..
