Hmm. the first ever manga I red and one of my favorite is the Kare Kano His and Her Circumstances. Its a bit serious but with a touch of comedy. I love the theme and how the tid bits of information from the time it started to the end got connected. You can find lots of wisdom, lesson in life and tragedies that can drive you to madness. I started reading this manga which now I'm so addicted when I saw the anime version of the Kare Kano and discover that the production stop.. and because I want to know the end I read the origin which is the manga. Right now, all I do is read manga, actually its been so long maybe four months since the last time I watch and anime or live action movie.

Okay, I feel old after reading what everyone else wrote - I first read Sailor Moon. I was introduced by my little sister and we've both been hooked for years. Then I think INVU, Mars and the list explodes from there.

For me, the very first manga I've ever read would most likely be Inuyasha. I just finished the anime back then and was quite disappointed when I saw how it ended, which was one of the reasons I began searching for its manga version., since I've learned that the story continued on from there. And sure enough, I've managed to find it in a free online manga site. I had to admit, it was quite hell brushing up on what has happened after the anime, since it's been what, close to 200 chapters from where the anime stopped. Eventually, I did manage to get to the good parts, right until the very end. Since that day, I've been constantly looking up for manga versions of all the anime I've ever watched, especially those which I felt had unsatisfactory endigns and compare their quality with the anime. I'm currently reading up on Chrono Crusade, since I wanted to know which ending was portrayed better. ^^

A Page from I"s 1st Vol - Iori is prim, proper, and friendly, not to mention gorgeous. She's a young lady who's easy to like and get along with. This generally positive outlook is put to the test from the beginning of the series, which opens on a magazine article featuring Iori in a swimsuit spread. Suddenly, Iori's the center of attention, and she finds it difficult to differentiate whether people (particularly men) like her for herself or her beauty. -- Ichitaka Seto has a generally shy and reserved nature, and, due to misfortunes with girls when he was younger, he has acquired a reflexively defensive posture when dealing with women. Thus, he's prone to rude comments when it seems some people are just trying to help, and can place an emotional wall in front of himself when people ask about his feelings. Regardless, he constantly thinks about Iori and it would seem he'd want nothing more than for her to be his girlfriend. Throughout the series he finds himself lost in daydreaming or imagination, and several times, he even drifts off right in front of Iori! - answers.com
I've been interested in making comics and reading some local comics at our area and when a classmate of mine during high school brought a fourth volume of I"s of Masakazu Katsura, that's when I had the first ever manga that I've read.. The series was already complete but, I was only able to finish reading the series when I was mid-way through college.
